Maya Jama sparks reconciliation rumours with ex-boyfriend Stormzy

‘They’ve really clicked again’: Maya Jama sparks reconciliation rumours with ex-boyfriend Stormzy with ‘secret visits to his house’… after being linked to Leonardo DiCaprio

Maya Jama is reportedly back in regular contact with her ex-boyfriend Stormzy, sparking rumours a reconciliation could be on the cards.

The former couple dated for four years before parting ways in 2019, with the rapper, 29, publicly declaring he has ‘never loved anyone how I’ve loved her’.

Maya’s team previously shut down relationship speculation after they were linked last year insisting at the time they were just friends, but insiders now claim they have been enjoying spending time together at his house.

It comes after Love Island host Maya, 28, was linked to Leonardo DiCaprio, 48, after the two were spotted partying together in London on two different nights, during BAFTAs weekend in February.

The actor then hit back at claims that he has been seeing the presenter after they were introduced by mutual friends.

Now a source told The Sun, it wasn’t serious between Maya and Leo, and she has secretly being seeing Stormzy after getting back in regular contact.

‘The Leo thing got a bit out of hand. They partied a couple of times in London and New York but it never developed into anything more serious,’ the insider said.

‘The truth is she’s actually back in regular contact with Stormzy and has been heading to his house to meet up away from the spotlight. She visited him a couple of times before her recent holiday to Thailand and it sounds as though they’ve really clicked again.

‘The connection never went away. They’re both keen to tiptoe around it a bit rather than throw themselves into anything public but they’re enjoying being close again.’

MailOnline has gone to Stormzy’s representatives for comment. Maya’s representatives declined to comment.

The reports came as Stormzy made an appearance on Thursday’s Good Morning Britain where he announced that would be managing the England squad at Soccer Aid next month.

The grime star said he would ‘bring the fire’ when he manages the team at Old Trafford on June 11, with Jill Scott as his captain.

Offering her advice as a former Soccer Aid manager, Susanna Reid jokingly told him: ‘Don’t get too big for your boots.’

Maya and Stormzy split up in 2019 and have remained friends, with Stormzy previously describing their split as ‘the biggest loss a man can have’.

He has always denied any infidelity in the relationship but admitted he had to learn some hard lessons about his behaviour, describing it as ‘disrespectful’.

Speaking to Louis Theroux on his new interview series, the rapper admitted to making mistakes during their four-year relationship but revealed he has since grown.

He explained: ‘My break-up, that was probably the biggest catalyst for growth as a man. It was like, OK, you made a mistake and you lose someone you loved, someone you cared for, someone who is special to you.

‘That’s probably the biggest loss a man can have, isn’t it? Away from someone passing away, that’s the biggest loss you can have.’

It’s not the first time that Stormzy has spoken of his relationship with Maya, having declared that he still loves her ‘wholeheartedly’ and wants to marry and have children with his ex-girlfriend in the future.

In 2020, he admitted he has ‘never loved anyone how I’ve loved her’ in a YouTube interview with Charlamagne tha God.

Maya became single last year after splitting from her NBA player fiancé Ben Simmons – after a whirlwind year-long relationship.
