Megan Barton-Hanson and James Lock have reportedly split following a two-month romance after sharing a romantic trip to New York City.
The former Love Island beauty, 27, and The Only Way Is Essex star James, 35, who recently enjoyed a trip to The Big Apple together, allegedly parted ways a week after returning to the UK from their Christmas getaway.
Megan, who made her first red carpet appearance with James at the Gay Times Honours in November, previously revealed that James had 'opened her eyes' to new things while they loved spending so much time together.
"Megan's relationship with James hasn't worked despite her being hopeful after he surprised during the early days of them dating," a source told MailOnline.
OK! has contacted representatives of James Lock and Megan Barton-Hanson for comment.
They continued: "As time has gone on, they have argued more and the holiday they shared together in New York last week didn't go at all to plan."
James posted a snap in the gym with his personal trainer in London on Friday 17 December to his 913,000 Instagram followers, captioned: "We back! Focused."
Meanwhile Megan posted a stunning snap on Thursday 16 December in a plunging pink velvet dress to her 1.6million fans, and penned: "I’m not telling you it’s going to be easy, I’m telling you it’s going to be worth it.."
Revealing she only ever thought of Lockie as the "bad boy" of TOWIE in the past, Megan told : "He's not really this character that I… well I used to watch Towie back in the day when he was the bad boy.

"He's so down to earth. He's easy to talk to. He's so intelligent and you don't really see that on TV but, yeah, we're having a great time."
The Instagram influencer and model went on to say that James has already "opened her eyes" to new things and they've loved spending so much time together.
Megan added the reality star really "surprised" her because she really didn't believe he would be so caring and humble at the same time.
But when OK! spoke to James at the VIP preview of Lakeside's Christmas Wonderland earlier this month, he clarified their relationship status and insisted they're not official.
"I'm not with Megan," James said. "We're spending a lot of time together, we're just seeing how things go. We're not official at the minute, I know people jump to conclusions and try to push us but we're just enjoying each other's company."
