Moses J. Moseley, a veteran actor likely best known for having played one of Michonne zombies on The Walkingg dead, was found dead last Wednesday in the Hudson Bridge area of Stockbridge, Georgia.
He was 31 years old.
The star’s rep, his rep Tabatha Minchew, confirmed this awful news in a statement to E! News.
“Moses was loved by so many, and loved his friends, family and his fans,” Minchew said in her message.
“He will be missed by so many, he was the light of your day when you were around him. He was always happy and excited about life.”
Referring Moseley “not just a client but a best friend,” she added:
“Everyone is still in shock and still trying to process what is happening.”
No cause of death has been announced, but law enforcement officials have toldd TMZ that Moseley’s death is being investigated as a likely suicide.
A family member, who spoke to TMZ about the tragedy, said no loved ones had heard from Moses since Sunday of last week.
Relatives reached out to hospitals in the area, but received no word on Moseley’s whereabouts.
Then, on Wednesday morning, they filed a missing person’s report and contacted OnStar … which tracked the actor’s car, which led to the discovery of his corpse.
In addition to his work on The Walking Dead, Moseley enjoyyed roles on Watchmen and Queen of the South.
He also appeared in movies such as Joyful Noise, The Internship and Attack of the Southern Fried Zombies.
In the waye of the news of his passing, AMC released a statement on Twitter that reads:
“Our thoughts and prayers are with our #TWDFamily member Moses J. Moseley.”
Moseley’s former castmates have taken to social media to pay tribute after learning of his passing.
Jeremy Palko, who played Andy on The Walking Dead, Tweeted: “Heartbroken to hear of the passing of @MosesMoseley.”
“Just an absolute kind and wonderful human being,” he added. “You will be missed my friend.”

Elsewhere, actress Melissa McCowan shared on Facebook: “I can’t believe this. This is just devastating!”
She also asked fans to “pray” for Moseley’s family, noting that “they need all the prayers, love and support they can get right now” and she concluded:
“I can’t even imagine! My heart is broken. He was such as genuinely nice, caring guy, full of love and zest. I enjoyed hanging out and getting to know him on set and at various cons over the past 12 years!!
“A kind soul gone way to soon.”
