Newly-single Trinny Woodall, 59, bonds with Vanessa Feltz as she’s seen for the first time since her ‘split’ from Charles Saatchi, 79, over their ’20-year age gap’
Trinny Woodall seems to have found comfort in her pal Vanessa Feltz after her reported split from her millionaire partner Charles Saatchi.
The fashion guru, 59, headed to her first public event since reports surfaced earlier this week that she has parted ways from Charles, 79, after growing tired of their 20-year age gap.
Trinny was pictured bonding with Vanessa, 61, at the launch of Elizabeth Day’s new book Friendaholic: Confessions of a Friendship Addict held at Upstairs at Langan’s in Mayfair on Wednesday evening.
Agony aunt Vanessa no doubt had plenty of advice on hand about being single after her 16-year relationship with her ex Ben Ofoedu broke down last month when she discovered he was cheating on her.
Trinny showed no signs of heartache as she beamed for photographs and was joined by her teenage daughter Lyla, 19, after telling fans she is embracing her ‘new dawn and new life’.

Trinny looked as fashionable as ever in a snakeskin print skirt, a fringed top with a sparkly black coat and chunky boots, while her ex Charles was pictured making a low-key appearance in Chelsea earlier in the day.
Vanessa, meanwhile, looked lovely in a pastel blue floral dress and green lace up boots.
The This Morning star was pictured out after Ben, 50, announced his hopes to reunite, saying that they ‘loved each other for 17 years’.
Setting the record straight, he said: ‘We were in love for 17 years, so yeah I would love to be back in that situation because I love her so much.
He told presenter Mark Dolan: ‘Vanessa and I parted ways. I mean, I’ve been pretty honest about it, really. All it was, I’d had an affair before which put our relationship on quite dodgy ground, but we’d got over it really and that was like 2015.
‘I just want to set the record straight, it’s not several women. I’m not a serial cheater. I don’t go to holiday camps and just cheat. That’s not the truth, but I think it kind of made a great narrative that the love rat, the love cheat.’
Meanwhile, friends close to Trinny claim her 20-year age gap with Charles caused issues in their relationship.
Speaking to The Sun, a pal said: ‘Charles wants to slow down. He prefers quiet evenings at home while Trinny feels the opposite.

‘She feels she’s in her prime and wants to be out and about.’
Trinny has been dating Saatchi for 10 years – since he split from wife Nigella Lawson – but the make-up and beauty mogul said on Instagram on Friday that she was moving forward.
She posted: ‘It’s a new day, it’s a new dawn, it’s a new life.’ She added: ‘I have been moving but now I have moved.’
She is currently on a skiing holiday with her family in France where they own a chalet.
An emotional sounding Trinny said: ‘I have looked out at this view for the last 30 years of my life. It’s the one consistent view I have ever had.’
‘Recently with the big life change and moving house it was important for me to come back here with (daughter) Lyla and family just to have that moment, listen to the birds, be at one with nature. Very healing.’
Saatchi, an ad-man turned art collector, is said to be worth around £100 million. Trinny’s worth isn’t known but her beauty and skincare brand is said to be worth £180million and rising. He declined to comment.
In an interview in 2021, Trinny said that she had ‘grown up a lot’ in the relationship saying: ‘I don’t let myself get away with stuff, so if I have a kind of outrage he’ll go: ‘Really, are you kidding?’ And then I’ll go upstairs and think: ‘OK, let me grow up now.’
‘I think that’s what happens when you are with somebody who has been through a lot in their life, and there is nobody who is more supportive of my business and jobs in terms of being my champion.’
The couple started dating in 2013 after Saatchi’s first wife, Kay Hartenstein, reportedly drew up a short list of women who he might like to date.

He had been single since splitting from food writer Nigella Lawson, soon after photographs were published which showed Saatchi holding her by the throat during a lunch at Scott’s in Mayfair.
He explained at the time that it was a ‘playful tiff’ and accepted a police caution.
He later said that he was just helping Nigella to ‘focus’ but she explained that she had seen a cute baby go past in a pushchair and said that she was looking forward to becoming a grandmother, which sparked an argument.
She told a court that he said to her: ‘I’m the only person you should be concerned with.’ Nigella added that her former husband had ‘told everyone’ that he was actually taking cocaine out of her nose.
Within three months of the romance starting, Trinny had partly moved into Saatchi’s Chelsea home.
In 2014, Trinny’s former husband Johnny Elichaoff died by suicide. He had been battling an addiction to painkillers for 20 years. They have a daughter Lyla, 19, together.
In an interview Trinny said: ‘I worry about being a single mother, but I get good counsel from Charles. He has a fabulous daughter Phoebe who is incredibly gracious and smart. He’s got a great child because he brought her up well.’
She offered a rare insight into their relationship when she told a podcast in 2021: ‘Any friend who’s known me for years will know I’m the most self-sufficient person they’ve ever met. I know how hard I work.
‘I know I pay for every single thing in my life apart from the roof over my head because I live with Charles. Every single thing I pay for and every element of what I put against business expenses I’m careful of.’
