Davina McCall, who has returned to the third series of The Masked Singer 2022, has touched on her relationship with her boyfriend Michael Douglas. The ITV star has revealed that you won’t hear much about the couple’s romance.

Davina, 54, and her hairdressing partner, 47, have made the decision to not speak about their relationship publicly.

The Masked Singer judge that the pair’s “agreement” was also out of respect for their ex-partners.

Speaking in a new interview, the presenter explained that they also wanted to be “fair” to their children.

Addressing the couple’s decision, Davina commented: “We’ve got an agreement that I don’t talk about our relationship, because our exes and kids don’t have a right to reply, so it’s not fair.

“We won’t ever talk about us in an interview because somehow words linger and we don’t want that.”

She added to OK! magazine: “The podcast is pretty public but our relationship isn’t, and that will never change because we don’t need it to.”

Davina tied the knot with her first husband Andrew Leggett in 1997, with the pair splitting the same year.

The on-screen star married her second husband Matthew Robertson in 2000 and the couple share three children together – daughters Holly and Tilly, and son Chester.

The former couple were married for close to two decades before calling it quits in 2017.

Meanwhile, Davina has returned to viewers’ screens for the new series of The Masked Singer.

Ahead of the ITV series, the panel member admitted that she is ready to stop “giving a damn” now that she’s in her 50s, after the star faced social media backlash due to her racy outfits.

The mum-of-three spoke about “shedding the shackles of inhibition” as she entered the next phase of her life in an interview with Women’s Health UK.

On the subject of embracing her 50s, she told the publication: “It’s a time of liberation. It’s a time of shedding the shackles of inhibition and of giving a damn…

“Because I haven’t always felt like that. It’s not just being on telly and it’s not just being a show-off.

“It’s that I don’t really care what people think, which is very liberating,” she continued.

Davina defended her choice of clothing in an interview with The Sun, suggesting that some people really will “complain about anything”.

She said: “I have a line where I think, ‘I wouldn’t wear that, that’s too risky, or I don’t feel comfortable in it’.

“I just don’t think any of the outfits that I was wearing were that shocking. I didn’t think they were outrageous.”

Davina added: “There’s always going to be a few people that complain about anything, about everything.”

The Masked Singer airs Saturday on ITV at 7pm.
