‘There’s dead cats and birds every minute’: Ozzy Osbourne claims he has been shooting small animals with a rifle because they wander into his garden during lockdown
Ozzy Osbourne claims he has shot various ‘cats and birds’ that found their way into his Los Angeles garden during lockdown.
The rocker, 72, added that he found firing his rifle ‘good fun’ and remarked that ‘it gets me out of my head’ – although his comments may well have been in jest.
According to The Mirror, Ozzy – who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019 – suggested the activity took his mind off his frailty by admitting during a radio interview: ‘When I am in my house, I worry I never am going to walk properly.’

The hit-maker even boasted of his improving accuracy, adding: ‘When I first started this thing, I could not shoot. Now there’s dead cats (and) birds every minute.’
Ozzy and his wife Sharon, 68, live with close to ten dogs and also have a few cats of their own.
As for their reaction to hearing gunfire, he said: ‘They f**k off.’
The doting father added that his pets have helped ‘keep him sane’ during lockdown in southern California.

Ozzy’s remarks come after he vocalized his support for Sharon following her dramatic exit from The Talk over her defence of Piers Morgan’s criticism of Meghan Markle.
He broke his silence on Instagram last month by posting an old red carpet photo with Sharon, in which he poses with a cupped-hand behind the ear as if he’s trying to hear someone better.
‘I can’t f**king hear you!’ he captioned the image with the hashtag #TeamSharon to make it abundantly clear he’s standing his spouse of 38 years, who he shares three children: Aimée, 37, Kelly, 37, and Jack, 35.
Sharon courted controversy after defending Piers Morgan’s comments about Markle, which many viewers found to be racist and harassing.

Amid the uproar, allegations emerged that Sharon had made racist comments to her colleagues in the past, claims she strenuously denies.
Page Six has since reported that the broadcaster could be receiving a major payout after being pushed out of the show.
‘Sharon is walking away with a $5 to $10 million minimum payout and was able to spin that it was her decision [to leave the show],’ a source told the publication.
The agreement will reportedly leave her open to speaking about the matter publicly in the future.
‘She still wants to give her side of the story. She has been on that show for 11 years and knows all the secrets,’ the source continued.
However, a CBS spokesperson threw cold water on the reports while speaking to Metro.co.uk, saying the estimated dollar amounts were ‘False, inaccurate or untrue. Take your pick.’
