‘When I went to Paris Fashion Week, I decided not to wear makeup and I really felt like that five-year-old girl from Ladysmith who got to wear Victoria Beckham clothes,’ she said.
The Canadian born star said after doing so she was surprised to hear it reported that she was making a ‘statement’, which was never her intention.
‘I felt so free. It was not meant to be a statement, it is not world peace and I didn’t know if anybody would notice. I am not sitting in a make-up chair for three hours.
‘I looked in the mirror and said, “You are almost 60, this is good enough, just enjoy Paris and not play the game”,’ she added.

The beauty has been heaped with praise for her ‘courageous’ choice to go makeup-free – as the likes of Scarlett Johansson and Jamie Lee Curtis publicly complimented her.
The actress talked more about the reason why she’s begun embracing her natural beauty while speaking to ELLE in August.
She told the outlet that her perspective on beauty changed after the death of her makeup artist Alexis Vogel, who passed away from breast cancer in 2019.
‘[Alexis] was the best. And since then, I just felt, without Alexis, it’s just better for me not to wear makeup,’ Pamela explained.
She added: ‘I did notice that there were all these people doing big makeup looks, and it’s just like me to go against the grain and do the opposite what everyone’s doing.’
Pamela was married to Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee from 1995 to 1998 and shares to sons with him, Brandon and Dylan.
