Paul Gascoigne couldn’t hold back the tears as his son Regan made his Dancing On Ice debut last night with a stunning display and the highest scores ever.
Before his performance, Regan, 25, was seen discussing his appearance on the show with his dad, footballer Gazza, 54.
Regan shared: ‘My dad is so supportive,’ while an emotional Paul admitted : ‘The minute you were born I was so proud.’

Paul continued: ‘No doubt when you come on stage I’ll be proud,’ as he added: ‘I’m getting emotional now!’
Gazza said: ‘I just wanted to tell you how proud I am of you,’ as the father and son duo got up and hugged each other.
Regan and professional skater Karina Manta earned themselves the highest score of the series so far on Sunday when they were awarded an impressive 33 points.

After performing a stunning routine to Sam Smith’s Too Good At Goodbyes, Regan was showered with praise by the judging panel, with Ashley telling him: ‘We thought we’d seen the best week one ever, you’ve just upped the bar.’
Oti added: ‘It’s the attention to detail you have, it was beautiful, it was the perfect way to end the show.’
Chris told Regan: ‘For me, that was contemporary dance on ice. It was beautiful. It gave us goosebumps, well done.’

It comes as the former footballer said his son will hit the headlines for the right reasons.
Paul applauded his ex-wife Sheryl for keeping their son on the straight and narrow saying ‘He’s got a strong mum, she’s strong because she’s been with me’.
Sheryl and Gazza had a turbulent relationship after marrying in 1996, with reports of physical and emotional abuse caused by his alcoholism and mental health issues.
They divorced in 1998 and have since put the past behind them and will be in the stands to watch Regan perform.
