Peter Andre pays emotional tribute to late brother nine years after his death

Peter Andre has shared an emotional tribute to his late brother Andrew nine years after he passed away from kidney cancer.

The 48 year old, who recently slammed Downing Street for "making a mockery of the British public", took to his Instagram stories to re-post his brother Michael's image.

Written in white over a black background, the post read: "108 months, 3,285 days, 78.840 hours, 4.730.400 minutes, 283,824.000 seconds, 9 years. Not a moment goes by i dont miss you my brother," followed by a grey heart emoji.

In the caption, Michael tagged his siblings. Re-sharing it to his own social media, Peter wrote over this: "Miss you brother".

Many took to the comments to share words of comfort as one person wrote: "Sending you and the family love @mrmichaelandre1 and thinking of you all xx," followed by a blue heart emoji.

Another said: "Thinking of you all and sending lots of love," with a pink heart emoji, while a third added: "Sending my thoughts and prayers to you and your family," alongside a red heart emoji.

In 2019, Peter spoke out on how the death of his sibling affected his mental health during an appearance on ITV's This Morning.

Speaking to hosts Holly Willoughby, 40, and Phillip Schofield, 59, the star explained that he and his family have still not come to terms with what happened.

"We are so close that the pain is as great whoever it is and it happened to be our eldest brother, who was quite young, and it tore us apart," he told them.

“We have not to this day three, four years later sat down as a family and talked about it.

"We just sort of move it away because it literally is still so raw."

The Australian hunk, who previously paid tribute to Andrew on what would've been his 62nd birthday, also confessed he struggled to write the chapter about the loss of his brother in his book Between Us.

"We were nearly two weeks late delivering it [the book] because it was the only chapter I couldn't do.
