Phillip Schofield has vented over lockdown restrictions and insisted he is at breaking point due to the ‘inconsistent’ guidelines from the government.
The host, 59, spoke alongside co-host Holly Willoughby and regular guests Nick Ferrari and Nicola Thorpe on the show as they reflected on the daily numbers and the country’s increasing frustration over lockdown.
He said: ‘Then as you begin to move out of it with everybody else, you feel the way everyone else does. And I am not prepared to do this for much longer.’

‘You have to live with that and you have to decide for yourself how you want to play this, but you want the ability to be able to decide how you want to play this.
‘Holly was saying it’s like being a 16-year-old and having parents who seem overly strict for no good reason, and who are rather inconsistent.’

Nick said: ‘And then you look at fellow 16-year-olds or you look at how you are being treated in countries in Europe where nightclubs are open in Berlin, they are opening in Spain.
‘You look at the United States where all but about two states are moving, and you feel like a 16-year-old who is not allowed, it just doesn’t seem fair.’
Phil replied: ‘Well, there were nine pilot schemes in sport ,music, theatre events, they did the FA Cup Final in front of 20,000 fans, the Culture Minister said there had been no outbreaks at the nine pilots.’

Holly said: ‘If this whole thing was the experiment, they did all these events to get the data – they have got the data now, can’t they act on it?
‘There will be people watching this, the theatre industry, nightclubs, you now know that it’s okay!’
Phil said: ‘The government could lose the people on this, we have been very compliant. As a show, we have been very strident, in our view we should be very compliant, all the way through…
‘Then as you begin to move out of it with everybody else, you feel the way everyone else does. And I am not prepared to do this for much longer. ‘

It comes after it was claimed that ministers are preparing to axe virtually all virtually all coronavirus curbs on July 19 as the country moves towards herd immunity despite rising infection numbers.
