Pia Whitesell made a surprise trip to her Melbourne hometown last month, spending just two days in the country with her multi-millionaire husband Patrick before returning to LA.
And friends of the former Home And Away star, 38, have now made some eyebrow raising remarks about the real reason for Pia’s extremely short trip Down Under.
Pia and her Hollywood agent husband Patrick, 57, touched down in Melbourne via private jet on Friday January 28, and spent the next two days attending the Australian Open.

While Pia has plenty of pals to catch up with in Melbourne, friends of the ex-WAG claim that Pia’s main motivation for returning to Australia was to simply be ‘photographed watching the tennis’.
‘When her friends questioned her motives for the quick trip, the overwhelming response was wanting to be seen and snapped at the tennis,’ the Herald Sun reported on Sunday.
The publication claimed that maintaining a public image is extremely important to Pia, and that travelling for 15 hours just to watch two games of tennis makes complete sense for her.

Pia and her mega-rich husband were certainly hard to miss in the crowd at Melbourne Park last weekend.
On Saturday night, the couple were photographed watching the women’s final between Ash Barty and American Danielle Collins, and then on Sunday were seen watching Rafael Nadal and Daniil Medvedez compete in the men’s grand slam.

According to the Herald Sun, Pia and Patrick spent a mere 57 hours on Australian soil before departing on a private jet bound for America.
Pia, who is mother to sons Isaiah and Lennox from from previous relationships, married Patrick last May.
She permanently relocated from Sydney to the US in September last year.
Patrick, the CEO of Hollywood talent agency WME is worth an estimated US$440million (AU$630million).
Since relocating to the US, Pia has been travelling the world with Patrick, luxuriating in top-tier hotels and mansions.
