Former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan has told how he walked out of the new House of Gucci movie, branding it “jaw-droppingly dreadful”. Taking to Twitter, the Life Stories host, 56, didn’t hold back as he reviewed the hour and 20 minutes of the film he’d seen ahead of his exit from the cinema.

In view of his 7.9 million followers, Piers revealed that he had gone to an evening screening of the new movie last night.

However, the outspoken media personality admitted that it had fallen short of his expectations.

Next to a snap of the movie’s poster, Piers pened: “Walked out of this movie tonight after 80 minutes.

“It’s jaw-droppingly dreadful.”

Poking fun at the star, fans of Piers didn’t hesitate in drawing similarities between his cinema exit and his explosive on-air GMB departure earlier this year.

“Tell the truth, Piers. Alex Beresford was there. That’s why you walked out, isn’t it,” wrote Geraint Lewis.

Liam Milne wrote: “You do love a walk out.”

James McKinney echoed his sentiment, and posted a snap of the ITV star storming off the GMB set.

In March, Piers furiously walked off the set of the ITV breakfast show after clashing with weatherman Alex Beresford over comments he made about Meghan Markle, in an incident which turned out to be his last appearance on the ITV news programme.

However, not all of Piers’ followers agreed with him, with some rushing to defend the blockbuster in the comments.

Rupert Myers wrote: “Incorrect. It’s absolutely brilliant.”

Mark Goldbridge commented: “I loved it.”

House of Gucci was released last month and Lady Gaga, who stars as Patrizia Reggiani, previously told how she spent nine months perfecting her Italian accent.

However, now, one of the film’s dialect coaches has admitted they were not entirely sold on her accent.

The character is based on a real-life woman, who is from the area of Vignola in Northern Italy.

The dialect coach from the movie set shared their views on the accent in a new interview.

Italian actor Francesca De Martini told the Daily Beast: “I feel bad saying this, but her accent is not exactly an Italian accent, it sounds more Russian.”

Francesca was brought on by director Ridley Scott to help Salma Hayek to develop her character’s accent.

She added: “I was noticing when I was on set, because I had earphones working with Salma and hearing what she was saying so I could help her to get it right, so I could hear Lady Gaga as well.

“When you see the trailer, there are so many different accents.”
