Piers Morgan has said he still doesn’t believe Meghan Markle after she made a series of shocking revelations in her Oprah Winfrey interview.
Former Good Morning Britain star Piers, 55, quit the ITV show on Tuesday 9 March over backlash for his scathing rants about the Duchess of Sussex, 39.
Before quitting, Piers was slammed by mental health charity Mind after he said he didn’t believe Meghan when she said she had suffered with suicidal thoughts.
Piers later clarified that he meant he didn’t believe Meghan when she said she sought help from the institution and was refused because she wasn’t a “paid member” of the palace.

But, the outspoken journalist has since shared a new statement on his views on Meghan on his Twitter and Instagram after quitting the ITV show.
He wrote: “On Monday, I said I didn’t believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview.
“I’ve had time to reflect on this opinion, and I still don’t. If you did, OK.
“Freedom of speech is a hill I’m happy to die on. Thanks for all the love, and hate. I’m off to spend more time with my opinions.”
Underneath the comment he shared an image of a quote from Winston Churchill next to an image of the former Prime Minister.
It read: “Some people’s idea of free speech is that they are free to day what they like, but if anyone says anything back that is an outrage.”
Piers’ latest comment has again received mixed reviews on Twitter.
One wrote: “U will be missed @GMB won’t be the same without u!”

And a second added: “Good for you. I might not always agree with your opinions (on this, I happen to) but many of us don’t want to live in an echo chamber. Keep doing what you do and all the best x”.
But some didn’t agree and brought up the fact that Piers stormed off the GMB set when he was challenged by Alex Beresford.
One said: “Until someone else’s right to free speech was said back to you and then you walked off the set”.
While another pointed out: “Mate, you were so outraged when somebody said something back to you that you flounced off the set.”
And another hit out at Piers’ tirades against Meghan as they said: “Morgan, your bizarre hatred and unhealthy obsession with #Meghan has cost you your beloved job so I don’t expect you to change your mind. just lay off her and focus on other thing from here on. Just saying…. #GMB #HarryandMeghan”.
