Prince Harry Opened Up About Being a Father Of Two at a Charity Event

One month after the birth of his second child, Prince Harry is still adjusting to being part of a family of four.

The Duke of Sussex opened up about his family while speaking with guests during his in-person appearance at the WellChild Awards last Wednesday (June 30). He and Duchess Meghan welcomed their daughter Lilibet “Lili” Diana on June 4.

According to Hello!, Prince Harry traded small talk with singer Ed Sheeran over their young daughters.Sheeran, who has a 10-month-old daughter with his wife Cherry Seaborn, told Prince Harry, “You’re still in the trenches now!”

When Sheeran asked Prince Harry about raising newborn Lili while also looking after his 2-year-old son Archie, the Prince responded, “Two is definitely a juggle,” according to Hello!.

Prince Harry told another guest that Lili is a calm baby. “We’ve been lucky so far, she’s very chilled and seems happy to just sit there while Archie is running around like crazy,” he said.

The Duke of Sussex also referenced Lili in his speech at the event, in which he reflected on his 14 years as patron of the WellChild national charity. “Now as a father of two, I feel all the more connected, inspired and in awe of the resilience of these families, who power through indescribable challenges with the support of WellChild,” he said.

Prince Harry also spoke to a guest who asked him about the unveiling of Princess Diana’s statue at Kensington Palace, which he was scheduled to attend the next day (July 1). He said, “I’m just so glad we can do it on what would have been her birthday, we weren’t sure we would be able to.”
