Princess Beatrice blends in with the Glastonbury crowds in military inspired coat

As thousands of fans flock to Somerset to enjoy a slate of award winning music acts at this year’s Glastonbury Festival 2022, the annual music festival has once again won the Royal seal of approval after Princess Beatrice was spotted in attendance.

The 33 year old daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson was spotted soaking up the sun and festival atmosphere as she attended the popular event with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

Dressed in an olive green military style coat dress complete with epaulettes and statement belt, the young royal oozed laid back chic as she wandered around the grounds.

Ever prepared for wet weather, Beatrice also opted for a waterproof coat tied loosely around her waist just in case of any eventual downpour.

Completing her look, the mother of one, who gave birth last year to her first child Sienna, opted to wear her hair loosely tied back in a half-updo, while a pair of oversized sunglasses allowed her to remain relatively lowkey.

Husband Edoardo, 38, also opted for a similarly casual but chic ensemble that consisted of a plain white t-shirt, dark wash jeans and a faded black grey jacket.

Much like his wife, he also completed his look with a pair of sunglasses as they enjoyed the acts due to perform.

Over the course of five days, it is estimated around 210,000 people will attend the annual music event, with high profile acts such as The Pet Shop Boys, Fleetwood Mac, Diana Ross and Sir Paul McCartney among some of the famous names due to perform.

On Friday specifically, Beatrice and Edouardo will be treated to the musical stylings of Ziggy Marley, Rufus Wainwright, Sam Fender and Billie Eilish, with 00’s icons the Sugababes also due to make a huge comeback at the statement social event of the Summer.

The latest appearance of the Royals at the festival isn’t the first time they’ve been spotted, with Prince Harry, Princess Eugenie and even Prince Charles previously having attended the event in the past himself.

Prince William and wife Kate have also expressed their desire to one day grace the muddy fields of Somerset and experience the festival for themselves, with the future King even joking that his dancing might one day “get him into trouble”.

The comments were made during a BBC interview back in 2017, with William admitting he’s “really into music” and would love to attend, but logistically it would prove problematic.

"Unfortunately it’s quite tricky [to go to concerts],” he explained.

"I talked about going to Glastonbury because I am really into my music and Catherine as well. We talked about going to Glastonbury.

"[But] I’ve got into enough trouble for my dancing recently so it’s probably best to keep away from that."
