‘I’d do another bikini shoot, why not?’: Rachel Stevens, 44, reveals she would still be happy to pose for scantily-clad magazine photoshoots

Rachel Stevens has revealed that she would still be happy to pose up a storm in a bikini for magazine photoshoots.

The singer, 44, regularly appeared on magazine covers at the height of her fame and said she wouldn’t turn away the opportunity to take part in more shoots.

She told The Sun on Sunday: ‘Yes I’d do another bikini shoot, why not?’

Rachel said she loved expressing herself through the creativity of photoshoots and enjoyed being involved in how the pictures would appear on the page.

As she reflected on her past cover girl moments, she said: ‘If there is an opportunity to do all that then yes, I could definitely see myself doing shoots like that.’

But the mother-of-two admitted that magazine shoots are very different now as she said the incredible shoots she did in her early career were ‘of-the-moment’.

Rachel, who has done an array of scantily-clad shoots, previously promised she would hang her favourite magazine cover on the wall of her North London family home.

Rachel – who shares daughters Amelie, 11 and Minnie, eight, with her childhood sweetheart Alex Bourne – admitted she hasn’t done so yet but insisted it wouldn’t be ‘awkward’ as she is very open with her children.

But Rachel, who was voted the sexiest woman of all time by FHM readers in 2014, admitted that she has felt pressure to look a certain way due to her life in the public eye.

‘You do see a lot of images of yourself and it creates pressure to be a certain way and look a certain way,’ she admitted.

But she said she has never regretted becoming famous and said she looks after herself by doing yoga, going out walking or dancing in her kitchen.

Elsewhere in the interview, Rachel also hinted at an S-Club 7 reunion as she said she would love to take to the stage again with her bandmates – Tina Barrett, Paul Cattermole, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O’Meara and Hannah Spearritt.

Rachel enjoyed overnight success with the pop group following their formation in 1997, when she was just 19 years old.

The group went on to have four UK number one singles, a number one album and moderate success in the United States. They had hits including Don’t Stop Movin’, Reach and Never Had A Dream Come True.

They had their own TV show Miami 7 but eventually disbanded in 2003, with Rachel launching her solo career, before they briefly reunited for Children In Need in 2014.

Hinting at another reunion, Rachel teased: ‘Getting seven people together is hard, I haven’t spoken to them, to be honest, and I need to do that.’

The actress described her time with S Club 7 as a ‘whirlwind’ and ‘intense’ and said she pushed a lot of feelings down at the time as she was in the public eye.

She said she has always been someone who overthinks and she was very sensitive during her time in the band, saying she had to learn how to be more open about her feelings.

Rachel said her two daughters are huge fans of her songs and that they both sang along to Don’t Stop Movin’ when it came on the radio during the nursery run.

And her eldest daughter appears to be following in her showbusiness footsteps as Rachel revealed in February that she was ‘bursting with pride’ after Amelie bagged herself a major West End role.

The proud mother confessed she couldn’t stop bawling while watching Amelie perform for the first time – in a role she has chosen not to disclose.

Claiming Amelie is ‘following in her footsteps’ and loves singing, she told how her ‘heart was pounding’ during the ‘special’ moment in an exclusive interview with MailOnline.

Rachel hasn’t released an album since 2005, however the Reach songstress has claimed she’s ‘always’ singing at home which makes for a ‘very musical household’.

She said: ‘I’m always singing, always, and so are my kids. We’re in a very musical house and my daughter is definitely following in my footsteps.

Exciting: And her eldest daughter appears to be following in her footsteps as Rachel revealed in February that she was ‘bursting with pride’ after Amelie bagged herself a West End role

‘I’d help her in terms of being there for advice and to guide her for sure, but it’s a very different world now, music is like a whole different industry to when I was in it.

‘She’s actually in a show at the moment in the West End so she’s already starting her journey and I’m so proud of her. She’s loving it so much and she’s found her career.’

When asked about what it’s like to watch Amelie on-stage, Rachel gushed: ‘Oh god, I’m usually bawling pretty much, just so proud of her just bursting with pride really.

‘The first time I went to see her, my heart was pounding. Yeah so emotional and so special.’
