Royal fans split as they brand Harry ‘paranoid’ and ‘humble’ amid landmark chat

Prince Harry's highly anticipated interview with Tom Bradby aired on Sunday, leaving Royal fans divided over their opinions of the Duke of Sussex.

Prince Harry, 38, sat down with ITV's Tom to discuss his soon-to-be released memoir Spare, which will land on shelves on 10 January, and he opened up about everything from the death of his mother Princess Diana to his reasons for stepping down from Royal duties in 2020.

The groundbreaking interview, which aired on ITV on 8 January, has left viewers divided, with some branding the prince "paranoid" while others were more complimentary, calling him "humble".

One person tweeted: "Prince Harry is PARANOID," while a second added: "Prince Harry appears to be delusional, jealous and paranoid."

A third said the Duke "sounds increasingly paranoid and delusional".

However, some Royal fans have formed a more favourable opinion of Harry, with one fan writing: "I don't think Prince Harry is paranoid, he is speaking the truth. And I believe him."

"harry is so level headed and humble #HarryTheInterview," a second said, while a third tweeted: "And again. Prince Harry speaking from the heart. Well done!"

Prince Harry opened up on a number of topics in the interview, including "sibling rivalry" with his older brother Prince William, 40, his relationship with his father King Charles III, 74, as well as growing up as member of the Royal Family.

He also responded to claims that he is "invading his family's privacy" with his tell-all book, which sees him open up about his entire life so far.

Interviewer Tom asked Harry: "And some people will say you have railed against invasions of your privacy all your life, the – the accusation will be here are you invading the privacy of your most nearest and dearest without permission, that’ll be the accusation, right?"

Harry then responded by saying: "That’ll be the accusation from the people that don’t understand, or haven’t – or don’t want to believe that my family have been briefing the press solidly for well over a decade. So, I'm sorry that me owning my story and being able to tell my own story is upsetting to some people."

He added: "But I have to rely on the truth, and I have done everything humanly possible in private for it not to get to this stage, but now I get to tell my story and as I said, none of this is intentionally to harm anyone in my family."

Tom then said the "portrait" of William in Harry's book Spare "is harmful to him", with Harry responding by claiming "there's two sides to every story".
