Avantika is becoming quite the young star!
The 16-year-old will be seen in the new DCOM Spin, where she stars as the network’s first Indian American lead in a movie.

Before breaking out on the Disney Channel, Avantika was the second winner of the Zee TV reality show Dance India Dance Lil Masters North America. She then went on to become quite the successful Bollywood actress, having been in seven films.
Avantika next went on to having a recurring role on Diary of a Future President, as well as a small role in Netflix’s Moxie, and she can be heard as the voice of Kamala on the Disney Junior series Mira, Royal Detective. Now, she’s starring as the lead in the Disney Channel Original Movie Spin!
She will also soon be seen in the movie Senior Year, alongside Rebel Wilson, Michael Cimino and more.
In Spin, she plays Rhea, an effervescent 15-year-old who lives with her tight-knit multigenerational family. After her mother’s death, she has been her father’s emotional rock, and her life revolves around her family’s restaurant, her eclectic group of friends, and her after-school coding club.
Everything changes when she falls for aspiring DJ Max and a long lost passion for music is reignited. Rhea discovers that she has a natural gift for creating beats and producing music, but must find the courage to follow her true inner talent. Check out the trailer here!
