Like any parent celebrating milestones in their children’s life, Stacey Solomon, 31, couldn’t help but get emotional after she revealed her middle son Leighton, was moving to his own bedroom for the first time. The seven-year-old was sharing with older brother Zacheray, 13, but the Loose Women star decided it was time they both had their own grown-up space.

Taking to her Instagram Stories on Monday to tell fans how excited they all were, Stacey revealed his finished bedroom and was over the moon with it.

“Leighton is wardrobed out [laughing emoji],” she began.

“I’m having a sleepover with him tonight so we can finish in the morning. I can’t wait to show you.

“Hope you’ve had a lovely day! See you in the morning.”

Stacey returned to her Story on Tuesday with an update on the progress of her latest project, giving fans a tour of his new den.

Known for her eye for detail and design, his new space was the picture perfect room many desire, featuring blue walls with colour complimenting decorative homeware and toys.

These included a floor cactus lamp, two huge blue and white lego blocks, some sweets, a desk and a teddy bear.

She had even created him a gaming set-up, complete with an Xbox and monitor.

A big milestone indeed, Stacey was overcome with emotion as she panned the camera around to show a framed drawing of Leighton and his brothers that she had put on the wall.

Of course, she couldn’t not show fans her eldest son Zachary’s reaction to also having his own space, now his younger brother had vacated the premises.

“We’ve finally finally done it. It felt like moving in all over again,” she penned.

“Are you happy?” she asked while beaming at her teenage son.

“I’m very, very happy, it’s lovely,” an excited Zachary told her.

Stacey added: “Oh I’ve never been so excited for the boys, especially Zachy. 13 years and he’s finally got his own room [laughing emoji].

“Even though they still would love sharing. When we first moved here they wanted to share. I’m just so excited for them.”

Stacey concluded: “I love you boys to the moon and back again. I hope you make the best memories in here…

“I’ll miss you,” she added before joking, “because now I’m pretty sure I won’t see you all summer.”
