Stacey Solomon has been busy renovating her youngest son Rex’s bedroom at her £1.2 million home sweetly named Pickle Cottage.

And as you might expect, Stacey prefers to keep the cleanup to a minimum while doing her constant DIY.

On Tuesday, the 31 year old mum-of-three shared an easy hack to stop the mess while installing a measuring board for one-year-old Rex.

Before drilling holes to hold the wooden decoation in place, Stacey taped a simple envelope to the wall.

She then explained: “Didn’t want to hoover after so I just stuck an envelope to the wall” with a cry laughing emoji and a monkey emoji.

The envelope was placed below where she would be drilling to help catch all the wall fragments from falling on the floor.

Stacey told fans: "I put up Rex’s height chart today because I really want to try and finish his room this week."

Captioning the footage she added: “Have to guess his height these days because no way can I get my nearly 2 year old to stay still. Ever.

"STOP GROWING NOW PLEASE. And if he’s going to insist on growing up I might as well measure it."

Little Rex seemed to be in his element as he stood proudly against his wall waiting to be measured as Stacey wrote his name on a little black arrow.

Stacey made sure his height chart was personalised with his name at the very top of the 6-foot tall wooden feature which is sure to be tall enough to continue measuring him throughout his life.

This comes after the Tap to Tidy author shared an emotional tribute to her son Leighton as he celebrated his 11th birthday surrounded by his family.

As she shared a black and white video of her son wrapped in Happy Birthday banners singing Happy Birthday, she wrote atop of the video: “Happy Birthday Leighton.

“Have a special happy day my little one. Thank you for being such an amazing son. I love you to the moon and back. Always and forever.

Stacey, who recently gave fans a glimpse inside the bedrooms of her three boys, continued: “I promise I’ll make the birthday table and the cake will be a proper one not a piggy roll and tea lights when you’re home from school.

“Mummy loves you for not minding that she didn’t get around to it yet.”

Fans have been enjoying her latest home renovation videos she has been producing on Instagram, with many now inspired to do up their own home.
