‘I’m a 2000 out of 10 in bed’: Strictly’s Giovanni Pernice jokes about having sex 150 times a week in very cheeky interview but admits he was lonely after Ashley Roberts split
Giovanni Pernice has spoken candidly about his sex-life, saying he would rate himself 2000 out of ten in bed and talked about getting intimate 150 times a week.
The Strictly Come Dancing star, 30, showed off his muscular torso while posing in a David Gandy-inspired photoshoot for Heat Magazine on Tuesday.
And while Giovanni claimed he knows he is ‘gorgeous and good-looking’, he admitted that he did struggle with loneliness in lockdown following his break-up with Ashley Roberts in January last year.

Reflecting on their break-up, after meeting on the 2018 series of the show, Giovanni said: ‘Like for everybody, it’s been strange. I broke up with my girlfriend just before lockdown and you just deal with it.
‘It was lonely, but luckily, Strictly came back and there was the distraction of being in quarantine with everybody else. It shifted my brain to something else.’
When asked how he rated himself in bed he declared he was ‘two thousand’ out of ten, before quipping that the question should be asked to ‘people who have been with me.’

Giovanni went on to talk about his sex life, adding: ‘If I’m in a relationship, it depends on your partner – if your partner is busy, if you’re tired, if you’re on holiday, at home. You can have sex 150 times a week or once – you’ve just got to make it good!’
He added that because he is Italian he believes he’s ageing ‘like a fine wine’, and suggested that ‘great conversation’ is only necessary in a long-term relationship and people should ‘shut up’ if they’re having a one night stand.
After their split in January, Giovanni shared a statement on Twitter that read: ‘@ImAshleyRoberts and I have made the decision to separate as a couple. We remain friends and wish each other well for the future.’

Thanks to their sizzling chemistry, Giovanni and his dance partner Ranvir Singh frequently sparked romance rumours throughout their time on the 2020 Strictly series, though he has previously said they were just ‘very, very good friends’.

The television personality, who confirmed her split from husband Ranjeet Singh Dehal just before her stint on the show, recently said that there will be a bond between her and Gio for life.
It comes after Giovanni reportedly recently made a profile on the celebrity dating app Raya where he’ll join the likes of Cara Delevingne, Adele and Ben Affleck on the hunt for love.
A source told The Sun in March: ‘Giovanni is a good looking chap and is keeping all his options open at the moment.
‘He’s keen to find love again and Raya appears to be the place to do it.’
