‘Never mind me!’ Susanna Reid snaps at GMB co-star Piers Morgan for interrupting her as they discuss Meghan Markle’s Royal family racism claims
Susanna Reid snapped back at her Good Morning co-star Piers Morgan on Monday as they discussed Meghan Markle’s royal family racism claims.
Things got a little heated on the ITV breakfast show in the wake of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey which aired in the US overnight.
As they dissected Meghan’s claims that a member of the royal family expressed concerns over the colour of son Archie’s skin, Susanna fumed ‘never mind me’ as her co-host talked over her during the segment.

The duo were joined on the panel by American singer Chaka Khan, 67, presenter Trisha Goddard, 63, and Sunday Times royal correspondent Andrew Morton, 68, in which they discussed the topics of the couple’s interview.
But Susanna, 50, got a tad annoyed at fellow host Piers, 55, for talking over her as she tried to ask Chaka a question.
‘Never mind me, never mind me!’ bellowed Susanna after being interrupted.
Taken aback by her words, Piers replied: ‘No no, I mind you. But Chaka Khan is our superstar guest, I was going to ask her a question.’

With Susanna retorting: ‘I was about to ask Chaka Khan a question.’
The duo then quickly resolved things, leaving Chaka to give her opinion on Meghan’s allegations.
She said: ‘I live in a country that is very racist. It’s little bitty ways that are so fine-tuned now it’s hard to call out.
‘I think when the royal family look into her accusations, they’re going to have to look pretty deep. I hope they will look into what she is alleging and make it right.’

The Duchess of Sussex also described her ‘pain’ that officials had denied Archie the title of prince and accused Buckingham Palace of failing to protect him by denying him 24/7 security.

It comes just days after Piers made a quip about his GMB co-star as he had his first dose of the Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid vaccine.

The TV presenter shared the ‘historic moment’ in a video posted to Twitter on Saturday, joking that it wasn’t ‘even as painful as working with Susanna Reid’.
And although a major event, an impressed Piers revealed he was ‘in and out’ of the Violet Melchett Centre in Chelsea, London, within just nine minutes.
Speaking to the camera as he awaited the vaccine, Piers said: ‘I’m about to have my AstraZeneca jab- I’m that old. And the doctor here, Tim, is administering it to me.’
Piers then asked how many vaccines were being given out on Saturday, with the doctor explaining: ‘Hopefully today we’re doing about 560 I think, that’s just half a day from 9am-2pm so we get a pretty good flow of people through the centre.’
The person filming Piers’ vaccination then added that there’s around ’40 volunteers’ helping out with the jabs as well.

Clearly impressed at the organisation of everything, Piers continued: ‘I have to say it’s been an amazingly efficient operation. I’ve literally been whizzed through…
‘We were told exactly where to go, you treated me like the idiot I am. Nothing was left to chance… It’s just down to you [the doctor] now to make sure I don’t die.’
Dr Tim was then seen injecting Piers, with the GMB host saying: ‘Very painless, in it goes and done. That’s it. Thank you for everything.
‘Not even as painful as working with Susanna Reid.’
As the clip ended, Dr Tim could be heard laughing at the joke and saying that Piers’ Good Morning Britain host, 50, will soon be next
