It’s often said that Meghan Markle wears the trousers in her relationship with Prince Harry.

So I wasn’t surprised, when the couple were introduced at a Veterans’ Day gala in New York, that her name flashed up on a screen before his – surely a break with Royal protocol.

It certainly sparked a lot of comments on social media, especially as Harry, an Army veteran himself, was there to hand out medals.

After Charlotte posted a snap of herself in Las Vegas, one catty Instagram follower suggested her life must be a doddle.

But Charlotte, 21, replied wittily: ‘It’s a healthy balance of nice vacations and PTSD!’

Prue says: ‘I went to her school to find every child had a picture on the wall – except mine – so I tackled the teacher. She said the subject was, “What I learnt in the holidays.”

She pulled out Li-Da’s picture, called How A Baby Is Made – a graphic reproduction of a drawing in a book I’d read to her, of a bearded man lying on a woman.’
