‘He went to A&E with stomach pains and ended up in theatre’: Tamzin Outhwaite reveals beau Tom Child rushed into surgery after falling ill
Tamzin Outhwaite has revealed her partner of four years Tom Child was rushed into surgery to have his appendix removed over the weekend.
Taking to Twitter on Sunday, the former EastEnders star, 51, revealed 30-year-old Tom visited A&E after suffering stomach pains and was quickly taken into surgery.
She wrote on Twitter: ‘Good morning all. My bloke went to A and E with bad stomach pains and ended up in theatre having his appendix out.’

Tamzin added: ‘If you fancy a laugh go to his insta @tc_childie .He has never had an op or morphine. He has apparently been cracking up the doctors.’
The screen star was referring to the fact that Tom had shared two videos of himself post-op on Instagram on Saturday.
Tom appeared to be slightly delirious after surgery and in the humorous clips could be seen asking a nurse for more morphine and telling his doctor that he ‘had a beautiful name’ and was ‘a beautiful person’.
Laying in his hospital bed wearing scrubs, Tom also made numerous references to The Lord Of The Rings and also compared morphine to ‘cheese and wine’.
She wrote on Twitter: ‘Good morning all. My bloke went to A and E with bad stomach pains and ended up in theatre having his appendix out’
He hilariously asked his doctor: ‘What was your name again fella? Robell? That’s a beautiful name mate. I’ll tell you what would make you even more of a beautiful person, if you could slip me a bit more of that morphine.’
Tom’s performance was so humorous that his doctor told Tom he had ‘made his day’.
Tamzin and Tom have been together for four years and last month filmmaker Tom marked their anniversary with a gushing Instagram post.
He wrote: ‘Four years of having the privilege to call Tamzin my love, my soul, my best mate and my co-adventurer. My Queen!’

In an interview this year, Tamzin said she has a realistic view of the 20-year age gap between her and Tom and that she would never get in the way of him living his life.
She said: ‘Right now we’re in a really lovely place and I have a very full life. Tom is my partner and my lover. I’m not going to stop him living his life at this age. I’m very aware of that and I’m not being frivolous with my affections. I’m being a realist.
‘But if he decides that’s what he wants in the future then he will go off and there’s no one in the world, surely, that would physically be able to stop somebody else wanting to do that — and why would I anyway?

‘Why would I want him to be with me if he wanted something else? The main thing is that I’m living in the now, which I’ve never really done. I’ve always been like, ”Oh, when I have a kid”; ”Oh, when I get married”; ”Oh, when I buy that house”.
‘Whereas now, for the first time in my life, I’m not going, ”Oh, when I…” anything.’
Tamzin has two daughters — Flora, 12 and Marnie, eight — from her marriage to Tom Ellis who she was married to from 2006 to 2014.
