The girls all broke down on Friday’s episode of Love Island as Liberty left the villa after ending her relationship with Jake in emotional scenes.

Kaz, Chloe, Millie and Faye were all in floods of tears as the Birmingham beauty, 21, announced she had chosen to walk after breaking up with the water engineer, 24.

Gathering the group around the fire pit after their final date on a yacht Liberty held back tears as she explained: ‘It was our dream date and we talked things through and we have come to the conclusion to go our separate ways.

‘We are going to leave the villa together. We don’t want to be here and take up the place when you are all strong couples. 

‘It’s a time for you to be happy in your strong couples and we don’t want to drain the life out of that. We have to take ourselves out of the situation. We are walking out on good terms and together. We love you.’

Faye was the first to start crying as she told fellow original islander Liberty: ‘You deserve every bit of happiness. I’ve never been more proud of someone.

‘You could have stayed in here and rode it out but you didn’t and that shows what a woman you are. Your dream man is out there waiting for you, probably waiting for you in your dms. 

Chloe added: ‘You didn’t deserve this at all’ as she hugged her close friend and broke down in the dramatic scenes while she packed her bags.

Sitting on the terrace together Kaz then said to her best friend: ‘Someone will give you the world. You don’t deserve anything less than that.

Emotional: Liberty’s best friend Kaz struggled to hold back the tears as Liberty left the villa

Support: Sitting on the terrace together Kaz then said to her best friend: ‘Someone will give you the wold. You don’t deserve anything less than that’

‘You’ve been there when I was at my lowest. I love you so much. I’m gutted.’

During their final date the pair talked through their issues as Jake told his ex girlfriend: ‘It’s s**t, it ain’t nice. We’ve shown our differences and it’s clear were not right for each other. 

‘I can’t say anything about you that’s bad, there’s no point going back and forth and I want to look back on the happy moments. You’ve been my whole journey so it would be silly to not be friends and not be civil. It’s not ideal living with my ex-girlfriend. I’m not gonna let you leave on your own.’

Liberty added ‘My differences started to show and annoy you. I did fall in love with you, I did think I’d found the one, but I know it’s not right. 

‘I want you to be happy and I have to put my feelings first. I’m going to leave today because that’s the right choice for me.’

Speaking earlier in the episode, Liberty opened up to Kaz about how she was coping with the break up.

Talking: During their final date the pair talked through their issues as Jake told his ex girlfriend: ‘It’s shit, it ain’t nice. We’ve shown our differences and it’s clear were not right for each other’

She explained: ‘I did fall in love with someone. If you love for someone you fight for them. I was right about everything.’  

Viewers at home were also left feeling emotional after the episode which saw the pair leave after seven and a half weeks on the show. 

One wrote: ‘Not me crying at this ridiculous show, Kaz, you have broken me!’

Another said: ‘No why am I crying? Liberty hun!’ as another simply said: ‘Kaz and Liberty are making me cry.’

A fourth said: ‘I’m not ready for Liberty to leave’ as they shared a crying cat meme.
