‘Silly me’: Tommy Fury forced to splash $300 on FIVE HOUR 286-mile Uber ride from Las Vegas to Los Angeles after failing to plan to return from US

Tommy Fury was forced to fork out $300 (£220) on a five hour Uber journey on Monday, after failing to plan his return journey from a trip to the US in advance.

The former Love Island star, 22, was in Las Vegas to watch his half-brother Tyson Fury, 33, triumphantly win his fight against Deontay Wilder, 35, last week.

But the reality star ran into trouble when he discovered all flights to the UK from Vegas were full and all hire cars were booked, meaning he had to splash the cash on the 286-mile cab ride so he could fly home from LAX Airport in LA.

Taking to his Instagram Stories on Monday, the boxer shared a picture of the view of the road as he crossed the desert in the back of the car.

He wrote: ‘Little update – had to get a Uber from Las Vegas to LAX because all the flights were full and all the car rentals were hired so silly me. Always plan in advance guys.’

The television personality added: ‘The flying from Los Angeles to London. Can’t wait to see my girl @molly_mae miss you so much,’ along with a heart emoji.

Tommy was in America to support his brother Tyson ringside in his fight against Deontay.

Tyson retained his WBC heavyweight title with a TKO (technical knockout) over Wilder in the 11th round during Saturday night’s fight.

It also saw Tyson take on Wilder for the third time, with the referee stopping the fight one minute and 10 seconds into the 11th round without a count.

‘I’m made of pig iron and steel, baby,’ Tyson said after the fight, crediting Wilder as being the ‘second best’ heavyweight in the world.

It comes as Tommy’s girlfriend Molly-Mae has revealed she is ready for marriage with her boyfriend of two years after the pair met on Love Island in 2019.

The influencer, 22, spoke on the Behind Closed Doors podcast with PrettyLittleThing on Tuesday, saying how she is now ready for the next step with her handsome beau.

Reflecting on how far they have come since being on Love Island, she said: ‘I’d like a ring soon, please… at some point.

‘I am still the perfect girlfriend, me and Tommy that’s like a whole other thing, we hardly knew each other back then.

‘We were just getting started and now we’ve been together 2 and a bit years and its been the best 2 and a bit years of my life with everything with my work, with my relationship. I’m just so lucky.’

She added of having a relationship in the public eye: ‘As long as Tommy and I know what’s going on in our relationship which we always do, people can say whatever. It takes a lot to upset me.

‘Were really strong in our relationship like that’s one part in my life that I’m extremely secure in, there’s other things I worry about all the time but my relationship just isn’t one of them.

‘Every night I go to bed just knowing that I always say that I could chuck my boyfriend in a club with loads of girls and he’s just not bothered about other girls, he’s so for me and I just love that. I’m so so blessed to have him.’
