Tristan Thompson is doing his best to win over his ex Khloe Kardashian’s mom Kris Jenner, after welcoming a love child with Maralee Nichols just five months ago.
Five months after admitting to conceiving his children child while still in a relationship with Khloe, the 31-year-old NBA star sent Jenner, 66, a beautiful bouquet of white and pink roses for Mother’s Day.
His attempt to slide back into the Keeping Up with the Kardashians alum’s good graces may have worked as she proudly posted an image of the stunning arrangement with a sweet caption.

Unlike in past years, the father-of-three did not share any public snaps on his Instagram wishing her a Happy Mother’s Day or grand gestures, like the large balloon display he gifted her in 2020.

Last month, when asked about the basketball player’s paternity scandal during an interview with USA Today, the 37-year-old reality star shared her unfiltered reaction to learning of the affair.
‘That was hard,’ Khloe confessed, while older sister Kim added it was difficult being the one having to break the gut-wrenching news to her.

‘I think the first time it was either Kendall or Kylie that called me. Now it’s good old Kim,’ she recalled. ‘You do become numb’ to the pain, but said that it didn’t make things any easier.’
‘When you’re hurt so many times — your reactions, your responses to the same thing happening over and over again — there is a numbing sensation to it,’ the mother-of-one confessed.

Khloe previously told Variety that her new reality show The Kardashians would touch on the NBA star’s indiscretion last year.
She explained: ‘It will be addressed on the show. We try as a family to protect the privacy of our partners or significant others, since they didn’t really sign up for this; we did.
‘But if something is really public like this was, it would be strange if Tristan was a part of the show and then all of a sudden he disappears and we don’t ever talk about it.’

Khloe said: ‘Viewers will almost feel slighted, like we aren’t sharing things and it’s not as real. So yes, we do address it. I always try to be as respectful as possible, but it is reality.
‘But it’s not going to be some long, drawn-out situation. I think people are probably a little tired of it.’

On January 3, Tristan took to his Instagram to admit that he had fathered his third child – a son named Theo Thompson – with a third woman as he wrote: ‘Today paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions.
‘Now that paternity has been established, I look forward to amicably raising our son. I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately.’
Tristan then spoke directly to the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star whom he first started dating in 2016.

In 2018, Dailymail.com revealed Tristan had cheated on the then-pregnant Khloe with a strip club worker from New York City named Lani Blair.
They welcomed daughter True on April 14, 2018.
At the time, other outlets reported additional women; however despite the cheating scandal, Khloe remained with Tristan until she when she split with the athlete in February 2019.
In February 2019, Tristan kissed Jordyn Woods after a house party, which was his second cheating scandal.

It is interesting to note that Jordyn was primarily blamed by the Kardashian family publicly on social media and on KUWTK, with Tristan and his behavior seemingly overlooked.
She was 21 at the time while Tristan was 27 and Khloe was 34.
Despite the turmoil, Tristan and Khloe rekindled their romance during the COVID-19 pandemic as they went into lockdown together in March 2020 with their little girl.
It was reported in June 2021 that Khloe and Tristan broke up for the second time.
That same month, DailyMail.com exclusively revealed how Tristan disappeared into a bedroom with three women at a house party in Bel Air over the weekend. Lawyers for Thompson denied the claims.

On March 13, 2021, Khloe gushed about Tristan on Instagram in honor of his 30th birthday – which, at the time, confirmed their very much on-again status.
Khloe had confirmed their on-again status in the gushing post, writing: ‘The ones that are meant to be are the ones who go through everything that is designed to tear them apart and they come out even stronger than they were before. Thank you for showing me everything you said you would. For the father you are. For the best friend I have in you. I’m thankful that I can do absolutely nothing with you and it feels like everything.’

Maralee previously claimed the child had been conceived while celebrating the NBA pro’s birthday in Houston in March 2021.
The Rockets played the Celtics in Houston on March 14 – one day after he posted his comments on Khloe’s Instagram and seemingly the day after their reported hotel meet up.
