‘I can’t avoid seeing the excess skin, cellulite and my ever-decreasing bum’: Ulrika Jonsson, 53, vows to ‘OWN’ her body after she was put out of her ‘comfort zone’ for naked charity snap
Ulrika Jonsson has vowed to ‘own’ her body after she shared a naked picture of herself in support of men’s mental health campaign, Bare Yourself.
Writing in her new column, the presenter, 53, candidly admitted that she was put out of her ‘comfort zone’ for the snap, saying: ‘I cannot avoid seeing the excess skin, the cellulite on the back of my legs and my ever-decreasing bum.’
Yet Ulrika insisted that she has to ‘accept’ and ‘take ownership’ of her nearly 54-year-old body as it has ‘given life to four beautiful, ungrateful children’.

The presenter shared the image of herself wearing nothing but a pair of wellies while tending to her garden to Instagram on Tuesday.
Ulrika penned in her column for The Sun: ‘I cannot avoid seeing the excess skin, the cellulite on the back of my legs, the diminished muscle on my forearm, my ever-decreasing bum and my beloved varicose veins which I’ve had operated on no fewer than three times.
‘But as my best friend Laura physically held my hand when I pressed the “go” button on Instagram, I felt I had to accept and take ownership of this nearly 54-year-old body. Own it. It is what it is. It’s given life to four beautiful, ungrateful children.’
Ulrika added: ‘I treat my body as a vessel for food and rum. It has carried four children for a total of three years. It has breastfed and gone up and down in size more often than a tart’s knickers. It has suffered operations and many invasive treatments.’

The presenter joked that at ‘her age’ she should know better than to ‘draw attention’ to herself but she was fuelled to pose naked for the ‘important’ men’s mental health campaign, Bare Yourself, which also helps with how to cope with bereavement.
Ulrika admitted the idea of being so ‘utterly exposed and utterly bare really felt like a ‘step too far’ but she justified it ‘in her head’ as it was for charity.
However, the presenter confessed her four children Cameron, 26, Bo, 21, Martha, 17, and Malcolm, 13, ‘rolled their eyes’ over the campaign photo.
Ulrika insisted she never asks for her children’s permission but rather questions their thoughts, which received no ‘outright objections’ over the snap.

The star revealed her best friend Emma had to take the photo where she stood ‘stark-b***k naked’ in her garden on a Sunday afternoon with ‘next to no make-up and filthy hair’ – before they randomly spotted a metal detectorist in the field behind.
It comes after Ulrika hit back at a troll who slammed her for sharing the naked picture of herself last week.
On Wednesday, the mother-of-four responded to one shocking comment left on her picture which claimed she was ‘guilty of young girls getting raped’.
Sharing a screenshot to Stories, Ulrika sarcastically wrote: ‘That’s absolutely right. I’m guilty of the rape of young girls because I’ve taken my clothes off for charity.’

The troll had commended: ‘This has nothing to do with men mental health, this is just another attention seeking person who porn c**p and is responsible if someone gets raped.
‘Men are NOT the only one that is guilty of young girls getting raped. These stars are just as much guilty because of their part in everything, (sic)’
Despite the troll’s words, Ulrika’s post was overwhelmingly flooded with praise from other fans who applauded her for being brave enough to strip for a good cause.
One person penned: ‘A real body, no filters, no airbrushing…finally!!’

Confident Ulrika left nothing to the imagination as she stripped off for the Bare Yourself campaign, strategically protecting her modesty with her wheelbarrow.
While she is no stranger to stripping off in the sunshine, Ulrika’s latest post came for a good cause, raising awareness for men’s mental health.
The mother-of-four bared all for bereavement charity StrongMen and she nominated her celebrity pals Ore Oduba, Saira Khan, Jenny Stoute, James Cracknell and Richard Bertinet to also get naked to raise awareness.
She added in her caption: ‘It’s never unmanly to talk’, before adding the hashtags ‘#BareYourself #nofilter #wearyourheartonyoursleeve #mensmentalheath #bereavement #charity #yourenotalone #timetotalk #naked #nude #nudierudie’.

Poking fun at the gardening scenario, Ulrika then quipped ‘NB. No flowers were harmed in the making of this.’
Actors, sportsmen, presenters have been baring all to encourage men to talk as 47% of UK-based men lack the confidence to show their emotions, according to reports.
Jeff Brazier, Bobby Zamora, Corrie’s Antony Cotton and other brave stars have taken their clothes off as part of the social media challenge.
StrongMen research also reveals that one-in-four men think it’s unmanly to show their emotions.

Speaking about the campaign, football ace Bobby, 40, said: ‘I don’t know why it’s so hard for men to talk, when StrongMen asked me to get involved I thought it was something I wanted to share to help even one person get the support they need.
‘If my followers can share a photo and nominate their friends too then hopefully we can reach all of the men that feel it’s unmanly to talk.’
StrongMen founder Dan Cross added: ‘Mental health issues within men are a difficult subject to tackle for many reasons. Grief is one of the biggest causes of conditions such as depression, anxiety, stress and in extreme cases, PTSD.’
As well as stripping off for her grid, Ulrika revealed she had spent the day filming a mystery project alongside Kerry Katona.

She shared a snap of the pair cuddled up captioned ‘when you work together you accidentally end up in bed together’.
Ulrika’s post comes after she revealed she is in the midst of a ‘sexual awakening’ and has even discussed her new found liberation with her children Cameron, Bo, Martha and Malcolm.
She explained: ‘I am a sexual creature. It’s something that I say regularly to my children — much to their horror.’
The thrice-married TV personality also confessed her spontaneous nature means she ‘wouldn’t rule out’ another marriage.
When asked in an interview with The Sun whether or not she’d tie the knot again, Ulrika said: ‘I’m a hedonist and a spontaneous person who believes in love. While it would feel strange getting married again, I can’t ever rule it out for the future.’
Discussing her sex life, Ulrika added: ‘I enjoy sex, I want to have sex and I am open to experience that. And it’s difficult for women my age to say that without being seen in a certain way.’
