Ulrika Jonsson, 54, throws her support behind J-Lo for stripping naked

‘I feel so encouraged by all this exhibition’: Ulrika Jonsson, 54, throws her support behind Jennifer Lopez, 53, for stripping naked on billboard

Ulrika Jonsson has saluted Jennifer Lopez for baring all on a billboard, because she says it encourages older women to be empowered by their bodies.

The television personality, 54, argued it showed that older women ‘deserve to be seen’ and wrote that she hoped it would encourage other women to do the same.

Writing in her column for The Sun, she wrote: ‘What started as a trickle of older women publicly showing off their bare bodies has now become a steady stream and I, for one, am all for it.’

Pointing towards J-Lo, Sharon Stone and Amanda Holden among others, she said there was a growing trend towards getting your kit off.

Ulrika – who is no stranger to a naked photo herself – wrote: ‘I feel so encouraged by all this exhibition because it indicates not only changing times but, more crucially, a reluctance by and absolute blind defiance by ageing women to go quietly into old age.’

She proudly admitted her ‘body is saggy in places it never used to be’ but that it had borne four children and showed she was still alive.

She said that although some may be ‘appalled’ at the sight, she wanted older ladies to be proud of their imperfections.

Ulrika said: ‘If you’re not ready to wake up and smell the coffee yet, and think us old gals should cover up and get back in our boxes, then I feel nothing but pity for you, because these acts of defiance are here to stay.’

It comes after Ulrika showed her support for Florence Pugh after she sparked a wave of controversy by donning a breast-baring dress at the Valentino Haute Couture show in Rome.

The TV host slammed haters by sharing that the ‘inequality is there for all to see’, as she backed the 26-year-old actress’s decision.

Ulrika also opened up about her own breast reduction, admitting that she longed for the procedure all her life before taking the plunge.

Writing in her column for The Sun, Ulrika slammed the misogyny of the situation, after the actress was faced with a barrage of comments calling her ‘flat-chested’ and mocking her ‘tiny t*ts’.

Ulrika wrote: ‘Strange, really, when you think these men presumably have two of their own adorning their cowardly, pathetic chests.

‘And to think this is 2022. Quite what the issue with breasts is I’ll never know. We all have them.

And Florence looked the epitome of beauty, class and purity, showing and owning what is biologically and physiologically hers.’
