Wedding planning is notoriously stressful – but no one warned Vicky Pattison that throwing an engagement party can be just as bad.
Last February, the reality star got engaged to builder Ercan Ramadan in a romantic sunset proposal in Dubai, complete with roses, love songs and an incredible emerald cut ring worth an estimated 200k.
The pair were keen to celebrate their upcoming nuptials with friends and family, at a lavish party in July.
However, their plans were ruined at the last minute when a luxurious London hotel cancelled their booking, forcing the couple to find another venue.
Chatting on her podcast, The Secret To, the 35 year old told listeners: “The engagement party was stressful. We had it booked at this hotel in London and they found it was for us and said they didn't want me to go. How bad is that?”
Vicky continued: “We had it booked in for months and then we went to view it and they were really lovely… and then I got a call the week after and they said, 'sorry we've realised who it's for and we don't want the privacy of our guests compromised by them.'"

Model and Tv presenter Vicky agreed: “'We were!”
Sadly, many of Vicky’s guests had already made a lengthy journey from Newcastle to celebrate with her – as she explained.
“Then we had to find somewhere late central London as all my friends had booked their trains.”
Despite booking the event space months prior, Vicky was able to find a suitable space quickly which meant the soon-to-be bride could continue with her plans.
“We were s**ting ourselves. We ended up having it somewhere miles better – 14 Hills Restaurant – everything happens for a reason!”
She celebrated her engagement in style with an exclusive photoshoot in OK!.
The hotel in question has refused to comment on the incident, but on their website the event space is still being advertised with a simple wedding costing upwards of £30k.
Vicky has been putting the mishaps behind her along with her controversial stint on Geordie Shore.
The former reality star has admitted that she has been unable to forgive herself “for swapping my respect for attention”.
She is even concerned about her future children seeing snippets of the show, stating:
“I'm dreading the day one of mine stumbles across my best bits on Geordie Shore because how do you even explain it?”
“Watching myself back I'm so stern and I think no wonder people thought I was a k***head, you're terrifying. I'm going to have explain all of this to my kids, "once your mum was a bit of an a***hole!"
