Vincent D’Onofrio was seen staying close to his daughter, Leila George, as the two attended the New York City premiere of The Eyes Of Tammy Faye on Tuesday.

The 62-year-old actor was seen being held by his child, 29, as the duo posed for a few shots before heading inside of the screening area to watch the feature.

The biographical drama film is based on the life of the eponymous televangelist, and it is set to be released to the public later this week.

D’Onofrio kept it simple in a black suit and a beautifully contrasting white shirt during the premiere.

George wore a bright white sleeveless top that exposed her toned tummy as she spent time with her father.

The actress, who is married to 61-year-old actor Sean Penn, also sported a stylish pair of light brown leather pants and a set of high-heeled shoes.

Her beautiful blonde hair fell onto her shoulders and backside, and she kept a small black bag slung over her shoulder.

The Eyes Of Tammy Faye is based on the life of the famed televangelist, who gained notoriety for being accepting towards the LGBT+ community during her lifetime.

A documentary of the same name was previously released in 2000 and notably featured the narration of RuPaul.

The Michael Showalter-directed film stars Jessica Chastain in the title role, with Andrew Garfield portraying her disgraced ex-husband Jim Bakker.

D’Onofrio plays fellow televangelist Jerry Falwell, who became an ardent conservative activist over the course of his lifetime.

The feature’s cast includes members such as Cherry Jones and Louis Cancelmi, among others.

Development on the feature was initially announced in May of 2019 when Chastain and Garfield became attached to the project.

D’Onofrio’s involvement with the motion picture was made known to the public that November.

This past September, Chastain spoke to RogerEbert.com and noted that she was particularly interested in exploring a particular aspect of the televangelist’s personality.

Specifically, she was interested in showcasing ‘the idea that you can be loved no matter what and when someone sees the goodness in you, then you are good. That was what Tammy Faye saw.’  

She added that Faye ‘knew how to reach out to others who might feel the same thing because she had empathy for that having felt it herself.’

The Eyes of Tammy Faye is currently set to have its wide premiere on September 17th.
