Woody Cook 'gears up to perform DJ set at Glastonbury'

Woody Cook ‘to follow in father Fatboy Slim and mother Zoe Ball’s footsteps as he gears up to perform DJ set at Glastonbury’

Woody Cook is reportedly set to follow in the footsteps of his famous parents as he gears up to perform a DJ set at Glastonbury this year.

The son of Zoe Ball and Fatboy Slim, 21, is said to be taking to the stage on Thursday, June 23, at the same festival where his dad has performed and his mother has presented from.

A source told The Sun: ‘Woody has been working really hard on his DJing over the past year and it’s not gone unnoticed by organisers.

‘Obviously he loves his mum and dad but he’s keen not to live in their shadow. Hopefully his Glastonbury set will help to open even more doors.’

Zoe and Fatboy Slim, whose real name is Norman Cook, enjoyed many wild weekends at the festival over the years before they parted ways in 2016.

MailOnline has contacted Woody Cook for comment.

Woody recently told Attitude Magazine about his musical interests and said that despite exploring his own genres independently his taste is similar to his dad’s.

He explained: ‘For me, my journey of music’s been interesting, ’cause everyone goes ‘Oh, so you get that from your dad?’,’ ‘I’m like, ‘No?!’ By the time my dad comes home from tour, what’s he gonna do, listen to music? No!

‘So, I think all my music’s been my own musical journey, but then I end up liking the same thing as him. It’s just one of those funny things. It’s about going to loads of different sources.

‘Even the other day I was looking at some of the playlists Spotify make… the Spotify algorithm’s banging. If you like a song, press radio of that song and it’ll find other ones like it.’

Woody previously revealed his famous parents have stopped giving him handouts and he’s living on such a tight budget that he struggles to afford bread.

Zoe and Norman are worth a staggering £35million but they are believed to have stopped giving their son cash, instead encouraging him to earn his own money.

Woody told The Mirror at the Attitude Awards: ‘My parents have cut me off completely.

‘They are like, “Do you want to be a trust fund child or do you want to work?” I want to work, so I am now self-sufficient, I don’t have a student loan.

‘I am doing it all by myself, the other day I couldn’t afford bread, but I’m working through it.’

They added: ‘Obviously he loves his mum and dad but he’s keen not to live in their shadow. Hopefully his Glastonbury set will help to open even more doors’
