Ray Quinn couldn't contain his pride after finally moving into his "forever home" with his fiancée Emily Ashleigh.

After a difficult year that saw him lose his father Ray Snr to cancer and his career coming to a stand-still, the former X Factor star was deservedly happy as he announced the exciting life update on Instagram.

The 32 year old singer shared a picture of teacher Emily and her son Lucien lovingly holding his hand as he dangled a set of keys while congratulatory cards rested on the countertop in the background.

Ray wrote in the heartwarming caption: "Words just can't describe this feeling… after one hell of a year, along with the advice and help from our family and friends we've managed to do this!! Our forever home!!! WOW!!"

He added: "Wish my dad could see us now… I know he's watching and helped make this happen… and I did it all with my best friend.

"My fiancé. My world @emily_ashleighx I honestly couldn't be happier soaking up this moment in time."

"It's a true feeling of euphoria!! So in love with our little family castle… finally made it. Now time to get out the paintbrush and make it our own," Ray concluded.

Emily also gushed about the significant moment, as she shared a picture of herself, Ray and her son, from a previous relationship, smiling for the camera while standing outside their new home.

"What a weekend! In between work We moved into our very own home. My heart could burst," she wrote.

Emily added: "Our closest family & friends will know just how much this means to us! After a whirlwind year to say, We did it feels amazing. WOW."

This comes after Ray was left heartbroken last year when his father revealed he had eight months to live amid his cancer battle but passed away only weeks later in November.

With work having dried up in the entertainment business because of the pandemic, Ray supported his family by working as a Hermes delivery driver.

Following that, he joined the family business by laying carpets.
