Zara Tindall's husband Mike has been left the victim of a hilarious interruption on his own podcast The Good, The Bad & The Rugby.

The 42 year old, who is a former rugby union player, was chatting with his co-hosts Alex Payne, 40, and 35 year old James Haskell when his two daughters Mia, six, and two year old Lena came rushing into the room.

Between speaking about all things ruby, James suddenly stopped to inform Mike: "You've got a very small visitor over your left shoulder," to which the doting dad responded by cuddling his daughter before saying: "Oh hello Lena, what's going on?"

His blonde little girl quickly explained that she wants to steal his hat and her dad couldn't help but smile at the statement.

Clearly amused, Alex said: "Now this is the content people want to see!"

Mike then said: "I don't think I can even steal back the headgear," as his daughter went flying out of the room with the Santa hat hair band.

Not long after, both his daughters came into the room, much to their mother's annoyance, as they came to hug their dad, give him his hat back and then feed him.

The Queen's granddaughter, Zara, could be seen standing in the doorway as she shouted: "Lena, out!" before waving a hand to the camera.

Mike and the 39 year old royal are expecting their third child together as they announced the happy news in early December during an episode of his podcast.

Shunning the traditional royal announcement, Mike shared the news during an episode of The Good, The Bad & The Rugby, telling listeners: “It’s been a pretty good week for me. We had a little scan last week – third Tindall on its way.”

Referencing his wife Zara's previous two miscarriages, he continued: “Z is very good, always careful because of things that have happened in the past,” Mike added. “And yeah, really looking forward to it.”

The former rugby ace confessed he’s keen for a boy as he said: “I would like a boy, but I will love it whether it’s a boy or a girl. But… please be a boy!”

He also joked that they’d be naming the new arrival after coronavirus, saying: “We’re not sure what to do, Covi or Covina.”

It is thought the pair might have chosen a low-key reveal out of respect to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, after Meghan, 39, recently wrote about her own tragic miscarriage.
