It wouldn't be an inauguration without performances from some of the biggest names in the music industry (though it should be noted, some president-elects have struggled with the task … ).
Due to the pandemic, Joe Biden's inauguration will look different than years past. A special called Celebrating America will be broadcast on inauguration day, Jan. 20, and, as with anything worth watching in modern America, it will be hosted by Tom Hanks. The 90-minute program, which is set to air on ABC, NBC, CBS, MSCNBC, CNN, and is expected to be available on several streaming platforms, will include performances from Demi Lovato, Justin Timberlake, Jon Bon Jovi, and Ant Clemons. Additional names may be announced in the coming days.
Donald Trump's inauguration featured a decidedly less impressive slate of performers, including 3 Doors Down. Barack Obama, however, set the bar high for incoming administrations. His second inauguration was celebrated with performances from Beyoncé, Kelly Clarkson, and James Taylor.
One more week (complete with an impeachment vote!).
