It's not unusual to see a TV character replaced with a new actor nowadays, and it happens most frequently over in soap land.
Avid soap opera watchers will be able to recall numerous iconic characters who have undergone what fans call a 'head transplant' over the years, from EastEnders' Ben Mitchell to Corrie's Max Turner.
One notable replacement was that of Ellis Grant over on Emmerdale, with original actor Asan N'Jie being replaced frictionlessly with Aaron Anthony in 2019. Aaron has stayed in the role ever since, becoming a staple to our TV screens.
While we've got to know Aaron's version of Ellis well over recent years, what do we know about the actor away from the cameras?

Aaron is 30 years old, and first appeared on screen when he was just six years old.

His big break came in 2017 however, when he was cast in the series Delicious. The actor appeared in eight episodes, starring alongside Dawn French and Iain Glenn.
In 2019, it was announced that Aaron would take on the role of Ellis Grant in Emmerdale. The character was originally portrayed by Asan N'Jie, but he was fired by soap bosses after a confrontation with Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas at the TV Choice Awards in 2019.
