A TikTok user has blown people's minds by exposing what he reckons the door under the oven is "really" for.
It turns out many home cooks on the video-sharing app have drawers under their ovens, which some say they use for storing pots and pans.
TikTok user @aaroncpatterson claims it's actually supposed to be a food warmer and one way to keep meals warm once they are cooked.
He says: "How old were you when you figured out that the drawer underneath the oven isn't for pots and pans?
"It's not – it's literally for keeping your food warm after it comes out of the oven."
He then shows a fish dinner sitting in a compartment under the oven, keeping it warm before it's time for serving.
"I know Pythagorean's theorem. I didn't know this!" he jokes.
The video has been watched more than 180,000 times since it was uploaded four days ago (January 23) and people are stunned – with some flat-out unconvinced.
One viewer said: "I don't believe you, absolutely no way."

A second said: "I was today years old when I found that out.
"Thank you. You really do learn something new each day."
Someone else added: "At a place in college it was a broiler, at my parents' house it's a warming drawer with a separate control and mine is just a regular drawer."
"You can also use it for dough when it needs to rise," another person commented.
Warming drawers, also known as proving drawers, are a feature in some ovens that can be used for a variety of purposes, such as slow-cooking, proving bread dough, melting chocolate, and making meringues or yoghurt.
