A British mum who won a Guinness World Record in 2020 for having the most tattoos of the same musician has revealed her little boy now listens to Eminem too.
Super Stan Nikki Patterson has 31 inkings dedicated to the rap artist – costing a total of £15,000.
Her dream is to meet the Lose Yourself star and she has told her nine-year-old son, Josh, all about her hero.
Speaking with Daily Star, she said: “Josh definitely knows who Eminem is and I do now let him listen.
“He is quite a sensitive kid and he will say to me ‘oh you can’t say that word’ so him listening to a bad word isn’t something he will go and repeat.
“Don’t get me wrong though, some of the songs I do skip… I don’t want him listening to the murder ones.”
But although Josh enjoys rap music – he isn’t as obsessed with Slim Shady as his mum.
Nikki, who lives in Aberdeen, said: “He gets why mum now likes Eminem and how he inspires me the same way he is inspired by music.
“But Eminem doesn’t affect him the same way and he’s not wanting to listen to him as much.
“He is at the stage where rap sounds the same so he will hear someone rap and he will ask ‘is that Eminem’ and I’m like ‘no’.”
Nikki – who has seen her favourite rapper live seven times – added: “With the tattoos Josh doesn’t really see them.
“When I get a new one he will say ‘oh that’s cool’ but he doesn’t have much to say about them. I’m just his mum at the end of the day.”
She has 20 portraits of Eminem and wants to add another one, featuring Dr Dre, to her bicep by the end of the year.
The mum first became a fan aged 14 and over 20 years later she found herself cheering him on during his Super Bowl performance in February.
The 36-year-old laughed: “It was awesome but I don’t think there was enough Eminem – although I guess they had to give everyone equal time.”
Nikki runs her own nail business and two years ago she met her now husband thanks to her love of Marshall Mathers, the rapper’s real name.
Kris, also a fan, searched a trending hashtag on Instagram and found a video of Nikki dancing to the Godzilla track – and their romance blossomed from there.
Her ultimate goal is to meet Eminem face to face but she admitted that she has no idea how the 49-year-old will react to her.
She said: “I know he is a difficult person and we’ve seen his persona. He is not very social and he’s very private so I don’t know what to expect.
“I think he’d just be a normal guy and it’s one of those things where I can’t imagine what it would be.”
But the hip hop legend is said to know who Nikki is after she met his photographer at a gig in Abu Dhabi.
And Nikki – who has almost 13,000 Instagram followers with her @CrazyEminemLady handle – added: “This sounds really dark but before I die I feel I have a good chance of meeting him.
“Especially now the world is getting back to normal with Covid. I hope he starts doing more concerts because then it might happen.”
