We all love a good hair day, but one bloke said having a transplant changed his life in more ways than people can imagine.
Magician Ryan Tricks said having the beauty procedure boosted his confidence and "changed his life" after years of feeling insecure due to losing his hair. The 32-year-old, from Maidenhead, used to fear showing his head prior to having the treatment.
The former Britain's Got Talent (BGT) contestant, who has over 1million followers on TikTok, recently showed off the results of his transplant and spoke openly about how the procedure has positively impacted his mental health.

Ryan said: "I remember one day about two years ago, I was looking in the mirror and realised my hair was starting to recede and from then I began to feel very insecure. I wouldn’t get into the pool with my kids or the sauna or steam room and I always had a cap on.
"It even used to bother me when it was really windy so I used to use loads of products on my hair."
Ryan, who has been dubbed the next David Copperfield, was first inspired to do magic at the age of eight by his mum Julie who sadly passed away when he was 15.
He continued: "Magic was something she always wanted me to do, so after she passed, I really thought let's go for it. I started off my early magic life playing tricks on mum and then after that I realised the power of social media and began to use YouTube to showcase what I was doing."
The father of two was first brought to the public’s attention when he appeared on Britain’s Got Talent in 2013 and since then his career has gone from strength to strength. Since his hair transplant a few months ago, Ryan hopes that by speaking about his experience, he will continue to help breakdown barriers to widen the discussion surrounding male hair loss.
Currently in the UK, 6.5 million men are suffering with hair loss and the effects it has on mental health and lifestyle.
Ryan said: "I debated a hair transplant for a long time but never went ahead with it until I saw my mate Shaun in Asda of all places and I asked where he had his done – the results were amazing. It was Dr Hamza Ahmed from The HairDr Clinic that had carried out his surgery in Beaconsfield so I got in touch straight away and found out Hamza actually watched my magic, too.
"After I did more research I found out that The HairDr Clinic was voted the UKs leading Hair transplant clinic 2022 and their results on their website and Instagram looked fantastic."
Dr Hamza Ahmed, from The HairDr Clinic, who is based in Buckinghamshire, said: "It is so great to see Ryan regain his hairline and his confidence after his surgery. Hair loss is a taboo subject amongst men and with November being Men’s Mental Health Awareness month, it is the perfect time to showcase Ryan’s results both mentally and physically.
"With so many in the UK struggling with hair loss affecting their mental health, we’re trying to change that and empower men to take back control of their confidence."
Ryan added: "Hamza was brilliant from start to finish and the HairDr Clinic was amazing, too. I feel absolutely insane now, from having no confidence and feeling insecure to being able to see my hairline and go out without any products.
“It has changed my life and boosted my self-esteem. Before I wouldn’t want to go to the theme park with my son because I would have to take my hat off, and now I don’t mind, so it’s opened up so many opportunities for me in all areas of my life."
