Jake Quickenden became a dad for the first time last month after welcoming baby Leo Oliver with girlfriend Sophie Church.

During the lockdown, fans have been offered a glimpse inside the home that Jake shares with his girlfriend Sophie, and stepson Freddie.

Scunthorpe-native Jake now calls Essex home after relocating down south with his girlfriend and her young six-year-old son.

And Sophie has given a tour of the nursery to her 172,000 Instagram followers, adding: "I'm obsessed with the baby's room literally it's my favourite room in the house".

Taking a look inside the space, we can see that the couple went for a neutral colour scheme of white panelling and navy paint with accents of gold.

Sophie has added a plush cream chair, which is perfect for night feeds, and gorgeously complements a round mirror above a white changing table.

And the couple also used their DIY skills to create bespoke touches including the hanging rail for Leo's adorable outfits.

We can see the simple white floating shelf is fitted with a gold rail and filled with the miniature clothes on white wooden hangers.

Captioning the snap, Sophie said: "This makes me so happy that it's up. We bought a floating shelf and towel rail in the end because we couldn't find the shelf we liked anywhere."

The mum-of-two also revealed the impeccable organisation of Leo's newborn essentials with tidy drawer organisers.

Sophie shared a snap of the first drawer filled with perfectly-folded bodysuits, leggings and hats before revealing a second drawer packed with bibs, nappies and wipes.

Meanwhile the centrepiece of the room is the gorgeous gold light fitting which features six bulbs to add a hint of warmth to the room.

The parents have also added a sweet dreamcatcher on Leo's door which reads: "Baby Quickenden."

Sophie also revealed the final touch to the room after giving birth to Leo which was his name written in metal font on the navy feature wall.

Jake previously said that it took the couple longer than they’d expected to conceive and Sophie suffered a devastating miscarriage in November 2019.

“We regrouped and went again, but it took a lot longer than we thought,” Jake said in an Instagram Q&A.

Sophie caught Jake’s eye appearing on Celebs Go Dating where she was linked to Love Island star Eyal Booker.

At the time, Jake told OK! online: ”I’m very happy at the minute, and I guess as long as everyone's happy, then that's all that really matters."

Jake announced the news that he and Sophie were expecting a child back in September.
