Kate Middleton was thrust into the spotlight when she and Prince William announced their engagement back in November 2010.
The Duchess of Cambridge, 40, had been dating Prince William, 39, for 10 years after the pair fell in love while studying at the University of St Andrews.

Tom featured in the Channel 5 documentary William & Kate: Too Good To Be True, where he claimed that Kate altered her personal style to make sure it was "appropriate" for a member of the royal family.
Explaining the changes, Tom said: "Her clothing almost began to reflect what people saw in her character – a kind of restraint, kind of modesty almost.
"I think that did come about because William and Kate were coming towards the point where they would announce their engagement.
"it was Kate starting to behave in ways which would be seen more appropriate for a future Queen."
Kate was 29 at the time of her engagement, and she soon began opting for longer dresses and more formal looks.
When Kate and William's engagement was announced in 2010, Kate's style rebrand was evident.
For the official photographs, she wore a stylish £400 navy blue wrap dress by Issa London, which instantly sold out.
Featuring long sleeves and a knee-length pleated skirt, the Duchess undeniably looked ready for life as a member of the royal family.
Royal expert Victoria Arbiter also featured in the documentary, and she explained how Prince William and Kate had underestimated the public internet in their romance after they left university in 2005.
Victoria said: "Graduation for William and Kate, it really was their last moment in that protective bubble.
"I think perhaps they might have both been a bit naive about what was to come.
"William understood how the media works but Kate would have had no idea what it meant to be on the receiving end."
