Laura Tobin learned first hand why they say ‘never work with animals’ today when a sheep carried her away on its back while she was live on air.
Tobin, 40, was feeding sheep at Bocketts Farm in Leatherhead, Surrey, as part of an autumnal weather forecast for Good Morning Britain when the hilarious moment occurred.
While she started the forecast confidently, the weatherwoman struggled to keep her cool when a ram stepped between her legs and carried her sideways on his back for an impromptu ride.
Laura fought back a fit of giggles, as GMB hosts Richard Madeley and Ranvir Singh looked on in amusement, while viewers said the hilarious moment ‘made their morning’.

Laura, who was wearing a pumpkin sweater and a black and white mini-skirt, began confidently.
The weatherwoman was giving her forecast whilst feeding sheep in one of the farm’s enclosures.
‘There is never “baaaaad” weather, just the wrong clothes,’ she said.
‘It’s not looking too bad this morning, I’m at Bocketts Farm and this week. It is half term, whether you’re heading out to farms, whether you’re heading out to pumpkin patches, or whether you’re just going to be heading out to get some fresh air, the weather is looking pretty mixed this week through the next few days,’ she said.
Laura began the segment with confidence, feeding the pack of sheep from a bucket she carried with her, pictured
All through the forecast, Laura was taking grains out of a bucket and feeding them to the pack of sheep.
As she went on with her segment, one of the rams behind her gave her a nudge, but Laura ignored it and carried on speaking.
While she spoke, the presenter kept feeding the very enthusiastic pack of rams surrounding her.
One particularly playful ram did not seem to care that Laura was live on TV ,and stepped behind her.
The presenter shrieked when the mischievous animal stepped between her legs from behind.
Laura completely lost it after the sheep rammed her, and struggled to finish her segment on a serious note. Richard Madeley and Ranvir Singh, who presented today’s show, were also in stitches
Laura had no choice but to interrupt her forecast as the sheep carried her sideways on its back.
In between bursts of laughter, Laura uttered: ‘Sorry, I wasn’t expecting to be riding a sheep,’ as the sheep carried her away.
Laughing hysterically, the mother-of-one managed to hop off her ride, with the sheep coolly stepping away from the shot, but she struggled to gather herself for the rest of the segment.
In fact, Laura was laughing so much that she struggled to make out intelligible sentences.
The presenter tried to remain professional as the sheep stepped between her legs while she announced the weather for today
Her hilarity was contagious, and the camera showed that Richard and Ranvir were also laughing in the studio, where they had watched the scene unfold.
‘You displayed some good “sheep-manship” here,’ Richard joked, while Ranvir laughed, shaking her head.
‘It just appeared between my legs and suddenly I was getting a sheep ride,’ Laura said, recovering from her emotions.
A true professional, Laura got her composure back and resumed feeding the sheep as she finished the segment.
‘Brilliant, saw it live,’ one said.
‘That is not part of the attraction here at Bocketts Farm, you can feed them, but you can’t ride them,’ she said, getting back to feeding the sheep.
The moment left viewers in stitches, with some saying it ‘made their day.’
‘Never work with kids or animals,’ one joked.
‘Brilliant,’ said another.
‘Laura professional, she didn’t stop, it was funny,’ one said.
‘Made my morning seeing this,’ one said.
