Love Island’s Mary shares bargain lip combo after fans demand to know makeup secrets

Model Mary Bedford was easily one of Love Island 2021’s most popular beauty icons, serving endless glamorous hair and makeup looks during her time on the show.

It seems that fans are still pretty obsessed with her beauty game, asking exactly which products she’s using on the daily – and, thankfully, she’s just shared a few of her makeup bag must-haves.

The 22 year old shared a few snaps during her journey home to Leeds to visit her family, sporting a simple winged liner, bronzed cheeks, nude lip and her signature fluffy brows.

"The sun is shining, today’s a good day," she wrote on Instagram Stories, adding “Back to Leeds for 24 hours to see the fam, spend my life on trains atm."

Clearly plenty of the star’s followers were keen to recreate this look themselves, as Mary then revealed that she used two different creamy lip colours to create this classic makeup, as well as a darker lip pencil to define the whole thing. "Today’s lip combo for everyone asking," she wrote.

The NYX Professional Makeup Lip Cream shades in question are beige nude Athens,£7 here, and pinkish nude Istanbul,£7 here. She also offsets the look with a Morphe pencil in Bite Me, a chestnut brown (currently out of stock, but Sweetheart is a similar brown shade for£4.50 here).

Of course, this isn’t the only insight we’ve had into Mary’s beauty regime. She also shared a tutorial for the exact hairstyle she wore for her Love Island villa entrance look, a slicked-back half-up style that could be straight out of the 90s.

The hairstyle – complete with a couple of face-framing wisps – quickly became her signature look on the show, so we bet her fans were delighted by the easy step-by-step tutorial.

Fans of Love Island who tuned in for the seventh season will remember well that Mary was brought in as one of the Casa Amor bombshells, turning Toby Aromolaran’s head while he was coupled up with Abi Rawlings. Toby then went on to come second place alongside his former beau Chloe Burrows.

Mary later coupled up with Aaron Simpson, but the pair called it quits soon after they rejoined the outside world. A shame.

So now the only question is, will we be getting a Winter Love Island next year, or…?
