‘Man refused to ink my neck saying I’d never get job – but I proved him wrong’

  • A glamour model who got her first tattoo when she was just 15 says an artist refused to touch her neck – because he feared she'd never get a job.

Hannah Sofia was 19 at the time and was shifting in Sainsbury's.

She was at The Mall Luton and wanted a musical note etched to her skin – but her wish was denied.

The brunette beauty, from Hertfordshire, now has up to 40 inklings (including her neck) and she has been a Babestation model for two years.

And speaking to Daily Star about how her body art journey began, she said: “I got my first one when I was 15 so I was a naughty girl.

“I have always been into the more alternative metal scene and it is just part of the culture really. I love standing out. I got addicted to tattoos and I love it.

“My mum was really liberal with me growing up which is probably how I ended up falling into the line of work that I am in.

“She was a bit like ‘oh for god’s sake what have you done’ when I had my first at 15 but it was never like ‘you are grounded for a year’ or anything.

“She was more like just do what you want to do but be careful.”

But four years later she remembered being dismissed by a tattoo artist who thought she would be left unemployed.

She recalled: “I wanted a small piece on the side of my neck. I am glad I didn’t because I don’t think it was very good from what I remember.

“The guy actually refused to do it because I didn’t have that many at the time. He was like ‘if I do this you might not get a job in the future’.

Hannah spoke recently on the Option One Podcast with Sam Risley about her previous jobs from supermarket work to stripping.

But she cooled down getting visible ink until she turned to adult entertaining in 2018.

Hannah said: “I did have colour tattoos on my arms then but that was that year I started getting tattoos on my hands and my neck.

“I sort of accepted that I was never going to go for regular jobs again even if I don’t stay in the industry.”

The model had worked as a stripper and a cam girl before setting herself up at Babestation.

Since then she has flaunted her tattooed body on TV and has earned fortunes from it.

And speaking about her most wincing needle experiences, she said: “The neck was painful and the fingers were too but I think the most painful tattoos were on my abdomen and ribs.

“I have a dragon on my abdomen and I did it in one six-hour sitting and by the end I thought I was going to throw up or pass out.

“It was awful towards the end and I had to get the train home and that was a big mistake.”

She is not ruling out being completely covered in ink one day and her next session is later this month after a two year break.
