McDonald’s fans across the UK have been left fuming after a popular item was suddenly axed.

It appears like the fast-food chain has removed its double chocolate pie, which was only introduced to the menu back in June, from it’s offering.

Featuring a chocolate crust, it also came filled with chocolate sauce – heaven in a pie.

The snack was only ever meant to stick around until 5 September, or until stocks lasted.

Fans were not impressed with many rushing to X, formerly known as Twitter, to voice their thoughts on the menu shake up.

One person wrote: ‘McDonald’s got rid of the double chocolate pie. What’s the gosh darn (bloody) point anymore.’

Another wrote: ‘NO WAY IT WAS ACTUALLY SO GOOD. NOT HAVING THIS.’

Someone else said: ‘The only reward I want is permanent double chocolate pie.’

While another wrote: ‘McDonald’s got rid of the double chocolate pie. What’s the f****** point anymore.’

However many didn’t even know the chocolate pie was on the menu and are now gutted they missed out.

One person wrote: ‘They had a double chocolate pie?’

Another said: ‘I’ve never had one honestly. Now I’ll never get the chance.’

While a third wrote: ‘Didn’t even get to try one I’m fuming.’

It comes after fast food fans were sent wild over a new burger which has made its debut on the menu.

Making a fresh appearance is the new McCrispy Deluxe, a chicken sandwich which marks a twist on the fan favourite, the McCrispy.

The original McCrispy contains chicken breast fillet with iceberg lettuce and black pepper mayo in a sourdough-style sesame topped bun.

However, the deluxe version contains many more toppings and flavour, with its core being the notable chicken breast fillet in a crispy, crunchy coating.

The meat is then topped with a hot and spicy mayo, caramelised onion relish, seasonal lettuce, bacon, red onions, a slice of cheddar cheese and a sourdough-style sesame topped bun.

And the new menu item – released on August 2 for a limited time only – has already became a staple for many McDonald’s fans.

Fans on Twitter have expressed their thoughts on the sensational new burger, with may agreeing that it may just be the one of the best items on the UK menu yet.

One user tweeted: ‘Tell me why I woke up from a nap at 10:15 after dreaming about the new McCrispy deluxe at McDonald’s.’

Another wrote: ‘The McCrispy Deluxe is actually the best deluxe burger to come out of McDonald’s – when it’s not made in a rush.’

One satisfied fan said, ‘Here to report that the McCrispy deluxe is fantastic,’ while another confirmed, ‘McCrispy Deluxe is superior.’

A satisfied consumer also wrote: ‘Btw McDonald’s McCrispy deluxe is an elite level burger.’

One convinced user stated: ‘I need the deluxe mccrispy in my life.’

It may be love at first bite for many McDonald’s fans following the release of the new menu addition, but some aren’t so happy with other changes occurring at UK branches.

McDonald’s fans across the UK are going crazy for the new McCrispy Deluxe burger – with some claiming it’s one of the best items to debut on the menu

Fast food lovers threatened to boycott McDonald’s earlier this year in April over a ‘disgusting’ change to its iconic burgers.

In April, McDonald’s announced it would be revamping some of its classic menu items to make them ‘even better’ than they were before.

There has been one menu change in particular that has left fast food fans in uproar – and has prompted some to go as far as to threaten a boycott of the burger chain altogether.

As part of its menu updates, the chain announced that it would be adding onions to its burgers while they are still on the grill in order to give the patties a flavor boost.

However, for those customers who prefer to order their meals without onions, this means they will now be unable to do so – because the flavor of the vegetable will have already permeated the burger by the time it has finished cooking.
