McDonald’s has thrilled customers by launching a brand new rewards scheme for customers that allows them to collect points and redeem them against menu items.
Following successful launches in other international markets in 2021, the burger chain will pilot the scheme in 10 restaurants in the North of England from today (January 10).
The scheme will then roll out to a further 65 restaurants by the end of January and nationally later this year,
Customers will earn a whopping 100 points for every £1 spent – that’s a point per penny – and you can use the points to get free treats or to donate to charity.
If you collect 1,500 points – that’s a £15 spend – then you can choose to spend them on small fries, regular coffee, Mini McFlurry, side salad, or hash brown. Or, you can give a £1.50 charity donation.
A Double Cheeseburger, Vegetable Deluxe, Bacon Mayo chicken, Cheesy Bacon Flatbread or medium fries will cost 2,500 points.
And, six McNuggets, a Big Mac, McChicken Sandwich, Double Sausage and Egg mcMuffin or Premium Salad will set you back 4,000 points, You can also donate £4 to charity.
Customers can begin to earn points on all orders by downloading the MyMcDonald’s App and opting into MyMcDonald’s Rewards when near a restaurant that is operating the scheme.
If you pay through the app then your points will be added automatically including when you use McDelivery.
Alternatively, you can enter a one-time code in the code section of the app at the start of your order at a Drive-Thru, Kiosk or Counter.
