She shared tips on how to store the yellow-sticker items properly in order to make them last longer, because they are often set to expire on the day she buys them.
She said: ‘As soon as I get home, I put most things in the freezer. I always take vegetables out of the plastic bag because they tend to sweat and go off quicker.
‘I get bags of potatoes for 10p and then store them into a cotton bag in the cupboard.
‘Everything lasts a lot longer when you know how to store it properly.’
Natalie said she tends to shop in the evening at 7pm to ensure the yellow sticker sales are on.
She admits it is a ‘luck of the draw’ because the shelves are often wiped however, she still usually gets bags of apples for 15p and eggs for as little as 5p.
The most she will ever spend is £5 on 2kgs of chicken which lasts for a ‘long time’ when frozen.
She said: ‘I think some people feel ashamed of going yellow sticker shopping, whilst others snap up the deals like myself.
‘I cut wherever I can as it means I can do more for the kids. As long as you are feeding your family it doesn’t matter how much you pay.
‘I think people get scared of the date on the packet but it doesn’t mean it’s off as soon as it’s that date.
‘You just have to use your common sense – if it smells funny, then it’s probably off.
‘But if it’s frozen straight away it will last a few more months.’

‘I am the only one who works in our household as my partner has a chronic lung condition.’
