DEAR DEIDRE: IN the bedroom I’m a flop thanks to my beer belly.
I’m a bloke of 25 and have always been on the chubby side.
My girlfriend, who’s 27, says she loves me just the way I am and would fancy me fat or thin.

I am in the process of trying to lose weight – cutting back on the beers and fry-ups, going to the gym – and she’s being supportive.
But I am so self-conscious about my body, particularly my wobbly tummy and “moobs”.
I hate her seeing me naked and don’t even like looking at myself in the mirror.
When she wants to be intimate, I insist on turning off the lights. Even then, I can’t relax or perform as I want.
How can I get more confident in the bedroom?
DEIDRE SAYS: Most of us have physical flaws but our lovers either don’t notice them or don’t care.
When you are in bed with your girlfriend, while it is your body she is making love to, it is you she is connecting with.
Focus on her pleasure rather than on yourself.
