The duo met on the set of the movie Gigli, but didn’t go public until after Jennifer’s split from her husband Cris Judd. You may recall that infamous sexy video on a yacht (which they just recreated publicly) and their much-talked-about engagement? Talk about a whirlwind.
But things got rocky quickly (here’s a full timeline). J.Lo stopped wearing her ring, and by fall 2003 they put out a press release saying they were putting their engagement on hold due to the stress of the tabloid media. They were officially unengaged by the start of 2004. By June, J.Lo had married Marc Anthony, and later that year Ben started dating Jennifer Garner. Fans’ dreams of a reunion between the original Bennifer were dashed…until now.
In the last few months since J.Lo’s split with Alex Rodriguez, she and Ben have been spending a lot of time together and have been caught kissing by the paparazzi, so maybe there’s hope for this duo yet?
