Alexia Echevarria says she wishes her ex-husband Herman came out as gay when they were married so that she could’ve helped him find a partner.
“I would have loved for him to have come out and had this conversation because I would have supported him and helped him,” the “Real Housewives of Miami” star, 54, said in an interview with S’More Date. “And hooked him up with all my cute gay friends!”
Herman died at age 61 in 2016 from a heart attack. The reality star revealed she asked him about his sexuality during their marriage because she had her doubts about whether he was straight.
“I actually confronted him because I did have a suspicion and he lied to me and said, ‘No, if I wanted that, I could have done that, but I never wanted that. I’m happy with you, I’m happy with my marriage,’” she recalled in the interview.
“‘If that’s the direction I would’ve wanted, I could have done that but it’s totally not true,’” she continued to recall.
Alexia, who is now married to Todd Nepola, revealed she ended up talking to Herman’s partner to get answers she was “ready” to hear.
“I wanted to have some kind of closure,” she shared in the interview.
Later in the interview, Alexia’s son Frankie Rosello — from a previous relationship — popped in the video, and the Bravolebrity revealed both he and Peter Rosello, who was arrested for domestic violence last month, were doing “great.”
Peter was cuffed in early January after he allegedly slapped and kicked his girlfriend in a domestic dispute.
The unnamed girlfriend alleged that Rosello placed his hand on her neck and pushed her backwards, and so she slapped his hand from her neck.
“The defendant then proceeded to knee the victim in her crotch area, causing her to fall down to the ground,” the report alleged. “The defendant then kicked the victim once while she was on the ground.”
